I agree with Tre. While I don’t know for sure, the way the story is told, Eren influenced everything to be the way it was. During season 3, Eren saw the killing of the Reiss family and knew Geisha was not up to doing it. He knew that he’d have to find a way to influence his dad. Future Eren showed him how to do that. Eren always has inside info he sends to himself but the execution of how to accomplish goals kills a lot of people. And sometimes, he doesn’t even send the info to his younger self because he knows he wasn’t at a place to do what he feels needs to be done. It’s a whole time travel paradox and it makes everyone’s head hurt.

It's basically memories looking at memories but with a slight influence from the power of the coordinate. Eren is looking at the memories of Grisha through his future eyes...so yeah paradox

I think tasha is right because when eren and zeke finished going through the memories eren literally says “this was only possible because you brought me here”

what tasha is talking about is the first time eren dad found the founding and went back to raise eren that wasnt a alternate timeline

My viewpoint on this instance with time travel is neither the past nor future can be changed. A temporal paradox where the past, present, and future are simultaneously happening at once. That's why it might seem contradicting, and I feel like you are both right in a sense because we can technically see Eren changing events here, but that concept might as well be rendered useless because anything he does will only result in those events happening. The ink is dry, hence why Grisha told Zeke that Eren will win and there's really nothing he can do but try to stop him since he already saw the future events take place

Eren's expression when he kissed Historia's hand was less of seeing his father couldn't do it and more like "so thats wtf really happened", since he unlocked Grisha's FULL memory up to that point and not just part of it. That includes Grisha's vision of the "horrible" future and him seeing that he was the one who made his dad eat the founder

I like how Tre describes Eren's Plan about uniting enemies. (If that is the ending, He wouldn't be the first who's done something like this in anime.. just saying...) Also if you know you know. Don't bother spoiling it since I don't think they ever watched or finished it.

The point of showing Bert's flashback is that now Armin, Jean, Conny, and Mikasa now know what it feels like to be in Bert, Reiner, and Annie's shoes, they killed their friends because they had to, like Bert, Reiner and Annie felt they had to betray all of them, it all comes back full circle. Thats what's so great about this show and it's writing, everything comes back full circle.

I truly feel bad for Armin and Connie. 😣 But if they want to stop Eren, it had to be done unfortunately. And I’m not gonna lie, I was dying laughing at their faces when they were lying straight to Daz and Samuels faces. They aren’t good liars. I’m not either lol. It was also very nostalgic seeing Reiner and Annie using the ODM gear. They still know how to use it after all these years.

If I recall, Eren tried to stop Zeke from turning everyone into Titans because he said “Wait” before Colt intervened. I don’t know why he didn’t stop it after it happened, but I remember him telling Zeke to wait before he did so.

@Tasha - Tre is correct. NOTHING changed. Everything we saw happen since season 1 and up until now are one and the same. The past didn't change and the future can't change. What you're seeing is a different point of view with ALL of the information. These events were always set to happen this way. All I can say is that everything Tre said with regard to time travel is correct. Eren didn't change anything.

So mad my original comment didn't post because I got distracted. Lol. I am not a manga reader but I agree nothing has changed. When Eren saw everything he appeared to be angry at Frieda's words or the vow rather. He probably was also angry and disappointed at the sacrifice of him and Grisha. While building the train tracks after the volunteers arrived Eren stated he would not want any of his friends to inherit his titan powers and the burden/curse of ymir. Armin was hopeful about the world and possibilities of everything he was learning after the volunteers arrived but it appeared Eren was already becoming distant/secretive during that time. He knew his and Armin's time was winding down and Armin's dreams would not be realized before that happend if it was possible at all. Eren said he valued them above all else. I believe he meant it. We have not been filled in on the scope of Eren's powers. He did not want Zeke to scream. At the end of the day Eren will not be around to help his friends/ people of paradis after this and they will have to get use to solving things without him and the powers he possess...this could be tough love or fate. Everything Eren saw has not been revealed. It seemed like "founder Eren" may be the one who kicked Zeke out of the memories so that would mean it was concurrent (the present and the future).

Not a manga reader: If the attack titan is the only one who can see the future, didn't Falco see the future at one point or am I mistaken?; so will he have to eventually eat Eren and become the Attack Titan.

Falco didn't see the future. He saw/felt glimpses of some of the memories of a past user of the the Jaw Titan (probably Ymir) using ODM gear.
