Henry (Vecna) was sent to the Upside Down in 1979 and he explored and changed the way everything looked. Will disappeared in 1983 and I think after the gate was opened a second time Vecna froze everything to stay the same seeing as how he doesn't like feeling 'controlled' by time but that is just a theory.

The upside down is frozen in time when Will was kidnapped and we haven't used that yet so maybe season 5 takes advantage of this. Duffer Brothers teased a time jump for season 5, but who says it had to be forward in traditional sense?

I think that the reason the upside down is frozen in time when will went missing is because vecna was probably able to freeze time because before he said he never liked the concept of time. And when the Demogorgon took will he was able to make a psychic connection with Hawkins hence why the upsidedown now looks that way and is the same as it was in 1983. That's my guess but I hope the duffer brothers dive more into it because I need answers.

Tre's dance to the theme song is hilarious as hell, what wrong with him lol!!! I didn't want Eddie to sacrifice himself, it felt like he was doing it for redemption, but he didn't do anything wrong. It was dumb to kill him off in the season he was introduced in, they should've waited til season 5 to do so. Now I feel like there was no reason for his character to be introduced. Eddie's death wasn't even all that impactful, it would've been more impactful to kill one of the OG characters instead of killing all these red shirt characters.

I didn't mean to complain too much in the previous comment lol. I did love this season and overall enjoyed these last two episodes, I can't wait for season 5.

Whew, I was worried about Tasha making it through that Max scene. Gotta say...I was shouting "Jason needs to die"...then the Gate opened and took care of that for me. I only wish more people had the chance to kick his behind before he died. I think Max is definitely going to come back changed or different the way Will is. If she even comes back at all. El went into her mind and she wasn't there. It was literally void. So I don't know. Maybe Vecna needs to be totally vanquished before she can come back and be okay and Will can be totally free of him.

my god this was Emotionally draining I haven’t seen you guys this emotional since Wandavision Ep8 Tasha I Don’t know how but even when Max bones started to break and died im not joking I had an idea since they mentioned Eleven is more powerful now I was saying even when she died can’t she like resurrect her or do something like that even Mike when he said I believe you can move mountains and Fly i was just waiting for her to do it but wow seeing her bones break was so hard to watch 😩

idgaf what anyone says, Will probably had some of the best acting in this season. The emotion and gestures, the emotion in his voice in his voice lines is top tier! Sad they talked over all his scenes.

Dustin ass wasn't lying when he said "most metal ever" 🤣🤣 that scene was epic. Played Master of Puppets..in a alternate dimension!! Props to Duffer Bros. for actually letting that man play and get his shine!
