Man. It really was the worst piling of events that led to the demise of Geto’s ideals. It all started with him witnessing the pointless murder of an innocent, then seeing his best friend not even care b/c they are high on power. And miss Tasha was right, they didn’t give these KIDS therapists, they just kept giving them missions. DIFFICULT ones at that. And for over a year, Geto had nothing to do but go on missions, exorcise and devour cursed spirits, and think. He saw the worst of humanity because he was literally cleaning it up. Then, the cherry on top? He was sent to exorcise curses in a town of 114. And when he got there and finished exorcising said curses? He found that the villagers CHOSE to remain ignorant and blame these two little girls, Who were Jujutsu Sorceror’s (meaning they have cursed techniques) for what terrible things the cursed sprits had done. And that was that. He snapped. Made his choice of who he would be and what he would do with his life. It’s so sad cuz if Satarou would have just realized that his best friend was in such pain. Geto probably would have chosen different. He will eradicate the evil that generates curses in humanity by eliminating all those that contribute. Sounds good on paper. Until you realize it means slaughtering countless innocent people. It’s why he adopted what Toji called himself…so it can make it easier to kill. They’re not humans; they’re a ‘lower’ life form…they’re just….monkeys. Damn. I’m all in my feels now lol

I read the manga and this episode still made me sad. That mission with Toji really affected the lives of both Gojo and Geto, and ultimately tore their friendship apart. 😣 I honestly think the stuff with Geto could’ve been avoided had he had someone to talk to. The image of those assholes clapping kept replaying in his head and fucked him up because he didn’t have the proper outlet to let out his feelings since Gojo started going on solo missions. And I think Gojo picked up on that because from what I remember from JJK 0 and season one, Gojo have Yuta, Yuji, and Megumi the proper outlet to talk about things that were eating them up. Gojo’s backstory is so good, but so sad because of what happened with Geto. Like damn… 😣💔 I can’t wait for the Shibuya arc in three weeks! It’s finally getting animated and I’m so excited!

I was so excited to see your reaction to this after I watched it today. I hurt so bad for Geto and Gojo friendship ending... I'm with Gojo and with Geto on the old school way of thinking and handling things need to change. The chick that Todo met is the same one that Geto met before him, helping him realize he way of thinking wasn't wrong. I'm glad that Gojo relationship with Geto is complicated and flawed and he wasn't going to kill him just because they told him too. Especially when none of the old school ways the non-sorcerers and sorcerers ways of thinking has changed or adapted to the change of the world. Besides the love of his friend is still there.And Geto knows deep inside he still loves his best friend somewhere inside... The wrath of Toji, the old fashioned, prejudiced mindset of the old school non-sorcerers/sorcerers,the death of Riko, and those young sorcerers at Jujutsu High did their damage on both Geto and Gojo in creating their current origin stories...They know that both have ideals to bring the world as they see it should be, which although flawed on both sides is better than the old ways of thinking. It's why Yuta (from the Zero movie) & Megumi and Yuji are were a part of the change that Gojo knows Jujutsu High and the future needs....I love how we learn that Yuji and Megumi's current time is really in the 2010s (2018), which means Yuta was in the 2000s, and the late (vessel) Riko was in the late 1990s...That these are just the memories of Gojo remembering how they all got here.
