Weekly Progress Update [26/MAR] (Patreon)

Hey all, hope your week has gone well!!

I'm well on track with CH11. If you saw the update I posted yesterday on the Tumblr blog, you already know I made it to 13k words this week. With only a few days left in March I think I'll easily be able to surpass my 15k word goal🙏🏼

For April, I'll be aiming for a minimum of 25k, which means that I'll hopefully have 40k on the books before May begins, and the bulk of the chapter will be finished!!

Progress so far

As for actual progress, if you'll remember from the in between update earlier this week, I had part of X's high route written already.

Currently, that same path now looks like this in my Twine file:

In other words, the high relationship variant for the X route opening scene is pretty much finished!!

I've decided to go straight ahead with X's high romance scene attached to this as well, instead of doubling back to write the low relationship opening. It would feel stifling to book all that progress and then have to go back and write the same scene ALL over again, just with a different perspective. I'm craving some scene progression right now haha.

As for X's high romance scene, it's going to be very spicy 👀

I've already started writing it out a little bit, here's a tiny preview:

The smile gradually fades from $xname’s face. “You don’t look happy to see me.”

You stare back at $xthem as your lips part to speak, to give voice to what you feel, but it is impossible.

A high romance Crown is going to have a very different encounter with X compared to a low romance Crown. X still has to break some important news to a low romance Crown, whereas a high romance Crown is like "it's ON SIGHT." 😭

As such, a high romance Crown also gets a different relationship choice compared to a low romance Crown during the opening scene of the chapter:

Basically, a high romance Crown will have some time to mull things over before X shows up, while a low romance Crown will be confronted with it very much in the heat of the moment.

That was it for this week's update, the coming week we're in between the monthly schedule since April hasn't started yet, but I'll be sure to post another CH11 preview for X before I switch to R's route!!
