With Raven having captured Tyson, Amy was expecting a few demands from him—maybe a way for her to trap her brother or information on the Howlers' structure and more.

This was a man so obsessed with revenge that he had attempted to join two of the largest gangs and go against the Howlers.

Yet when Raven finally gave his request, there was great confusion.

“A meeting, that’s it? That’s all you want, a meeting?” Amy asked.

“Right, I just want to meet your brother face to face. There are a lot of issues that need to be resolved,” Raven answered.

“Amy, he’s obviously lying,” White whispered. “This has to be some type of trap to get you in one place.”

“It’s not a trap,” Raven answered. Even through White’s whispering, with his enhanced senses as an Altered, he could hear everything quite clearly.

“I no longer have anyone on my side,” Raven said. “If I did, I would’ve at least taken a shower before meeting you guys.”

White sniffed the air a few times, wondering where the smell was coming from, but just didn’t want to say anything about it... in case it was actually Amy who had done a silent one.

“I think you’re underestimating your own brother,” Raven explained. “Gary Dem is now one of the Kings. I don’t know if you even know what that means, but he’s one of the strongest people with the most influence in this country.”

“And at the moment, this country is on top of the food chain when it comes to Altered development, so you could even say, on top of the whole world.”

“Even with my power alone, it would be impossible to get close to him. And even if I were to come face to face with him, he’s not someone I could beat either. To put it simply, I have no more tools to use against your brother.”

“He is now at a height that is unreachable for me. I tried using the One Gang and failed. I nearly lost my life and ended up in this state.”

“So, I have to put my revenge deep down inside. I have to be satisfied with the fact that I got Gary locked up for a while and put him and his group through some hell.” A smile appeared on Raven’s face.

The strangest thing was, while Amy looked at Raven, she felt like all the words he spoke were his true feelings. Raven, right now, was almost being too honest with them.

“A meeting, that’s all you want?” Amy asked. “And then you’ll tell us where Tyson is?”

Raven nodded, and in response, Amy stood up and took her phone. She then walked off slightly, away from where the others were, leaving White and Raven at the table.

While Amy was speaking, in that moment, White went ahead and stuck her tongue out at Raven.

“What are you doing that for, girl?” Raven commented. “If I didn’t need you guys, I would melt your tongue right here and now.”

Before White could say anything back, Amy had finally returned.

“He’ll be here in a couple of hours,” Amy answered. “He’s set the meeting place at AJ Entertainment. Ash will know about the meeting. When you head in there, just say you’re there to meet the Howlers, and someone will escort you to where you need to be.”

“Also, they said to never make contact with me, or White, or anyone that’s not part of the Howlers again. Otherwise, every single member will be out there for your life.”

“They’ve ignored you for now, but…”

“I understand,” Raven said, standing up. “It’s been a pleasure doing business with both of you. I hope we never have to see each other again.”

Raven stood up and was making his way to the exit.

“Wait, where’s Tyson?” Amy shouted.

“I don’t know,” Raven shrugged his shoulders. “My guess is he should be up and walking around somewhere by now. Maybe he’s at that university you guys go to, or he’s at work.”

Both Amy and White looked at each other, partly stunned. What did he even mean by that?

Just as Raven opened the door, he had one more set of words for the two girls.

“Oh, and... I’m truly sorry for what happened to Stacy.” The door closed behind Raven, and he was gone.

Meeting with Raven had left a string of conflicting feelings with the two of them.

“Are you okay?” White asked.

“Yeah,” Amy said. “That was scary, really scary, but for some reason, I never felt like we were in danger, like he never intended to hurt us…”

Amy had changed her mind about that. There was a moment when part of his eye looked to have turned slightly black. It felt like Raven was fighting against something within himself.

“Anyway, I hope your brother will be okay with it all. Let’s go and find Tyson,” White said.

The two of them agreed, and they were off.

A couple of hours had passed, and Raven had turned up at AJ Entertainment as asked. There were several looks as to why such a scruffy and crude person had walked into the building, but it didn’t matter as he was escorted to the top floor and was now sitting in Ash’s office.

Ash stood there, a table in the center of the room. There was one seat on one side and several seats on the other side, empty.

“You don’t have to worry about me. I’m just here to set up this meeting,” Ash said, looking at his watch. “They should be here any moment now.”

Right on cue, the doors opened wide, and a blond-haired pretty boy with a scar around his chin walked into the room.

“This isn’t what I asked for,” Raven said. “Where’s Gary?”

“You should be thankful that Gary isn’t here because if he was, I think he would have already pounced across the room and attempted to rip off your head,” Kai said as he pulled a seat and sat down.

“As for me, I am a lot more political. So, it’s a good thing that I’m here instead. Why don’t we speak—what did you want to show us?” Kai asked.
