Update This Week: Livestream Recordings/Videos (Patreon)
Content
I hope everyone is having a great start to their week :)
First off, unfortunately our livestream yesterday did NOT record, so I won't be able to upload the recording :( Really sorry to those who were looking forward to my reaction. I WILL make it up to everyone -- and I do an EXTRA livestream for the artists/groups (BTS, SKZ, ATEEZ, Seventeen) that we covered yesterday.
Second, I'm gonna take a little break from filming this week. Feel like I need to recharge, reflect and get my creative juices flowing again. So, no livestreams/uncuts this week.
For those wondering what my thoughts were on the livestream videos I checked out yesterday, here's a quick summary:
- BTS Carpool Karaoke - Absolutely LOVED this video and I can't believe I hadn't seen it before. I was saying in the livestream, this is a MUST watch for anyone who WANTS to get into BTS, or even better, a person who you're introducing BTS to. A light, fun video where you get to see their playful energy, a bit of their bond and a glimpse of their skills.
- Jimin's Song Promise - So good that I played the song twice. And the fan-made video we watched was the chef's kiss. I connected with Jimin's lyrics, was happy to see his awareness around the importance of being good to himself, and really took note of his unique/distinct voice. A beautiful soft tone.
- Changbin Being a Problem Child - long time coming for me to the mischievous side of Changbin. I was saying it kinda made sense given he's arguably the loudest, most outspoken voice in SKZ. The dude loves connecting with his brothers, which I think is part of his extroverted nature -- and I think him being a little shit and getting their attention in the ways he does, is a reflection of that.
- ATEEZ Matz - was kinda shocked, but thoroughly enjoyed seeing Seonghwa turn into a badass. Was fun seeing that ATEEZ attitude by the two elder statesmen in the group reflected in this MV. A real, palpable edge to this video.
- ATEEZ ITs - damn! what a track! I really enjoyed this song and the whole vibe to this video. Even though I stan hard for Wooyoung, it was Yeosang who really stood out for me in this video. He's got a real confidence about him on stage. It's almost as if he's staring through the camera at times. Fierce. I also just appreciate his quiet confidence off stage too. Amazing video and song. That's a repeat track for me.
- ATEEZ Wonderland Performance - these guys man. Performer's through and through. For me, that's the best way to characterize them. Performers; they simply know how to put on a show. It's almost like they take on a certain attitude on stage -- they transform into professional showmen. Yunho was an absolute beast of a dancer in the performance we watched too. A stand out for sure.Really starting to like ATEEZ more and more... and it's the admiration of their performances that's pulling me in (as opposed to my entry into other groups via interviews/variety shows).
- Seventeen - the 's' in Seventeen is for second hand embarassment - not a whole lot to say here. Fun, light video. Maybe I missed some of the humour in it? I dunno. I really like Hoshi. That was confirmed while watching this. I love that he just puts himself out there completely, which I think it a big part of his charisma! No shame. Almost like an unabating enthusiasm for being a complete goof in front of the camera (despite embarrassing his poor friend Woozi who in contrast seems way more reserved). Loved that Hoshi and Woozi duo/contrast.
- Seventeen MAMA 2023 Acceptance Speech - touching speech and I think the resounding sentiment amongst the Kpop community was "these guys truly deserve it". Crazy to think that they're 3rd gen veterans. Nice to see how touched some of the guys were, Seungkwan in particular. And of course a heartfelt message for his close friend Moonbin at the end. Emotional to say the least. I love Seungkwan too. He seems like the type of guy that can get along with everyone -- and I was saying in the stream that he could also be the one Kpop idol who could get away being seen with a female and NOT be in a scandal. I think it's because he gives the ultimate big brother vibes -- he's a friend to everyone. Amazingly talented guy.
