Other people have had to pause after Rainer was caught and mourn his death, only to resume video and realize that he survived. This show will give you anxiety, and it will gut punch you when you least expect it.

There are many moments people who love this series collectively have micro trauma from, and the female titan putting their thumb onto Reiner's head is one that really hit me. Mostly I think because the act of holding him like that made it so viscerally clear how dangerous titans are (not that we need reminding). I remember I fully expected him to have been Reiner Jelly. Also the show using the blood from Reiner starting to slice it's hand open to make us think he was crushed was pretty sadistic on Isayama's part XD Can you imagine the strength you'd have to have to cut through it's fingers to free yourself?

Of course I enjoy it! You really pay attention to the shows you watch and I love it! I am also new on anime world, but demon slayer and jujutsu kaisen are super popular and one of my favorites! They multiple season animes, so maybe after youre done with attack on titan. Remember to also take time for yourself and to rest <3

Another banger of a reaction. I'm so happy you are making these flashpoints for your current thought process to reference back to. Once we get into the later season, it will be soooooo fun to revisit. Also, Jean is growing on you; I love to see it. He is low-key and one of the most relatable characters. His personality has the perfect amount of skepticism, fear, bravery, logic, and common sense lol. I like your Eren vs. Jean analysis, the dynamic of who they become as the story progresses is fun to examine, especially when you compare the characters side-by-side. Thanks Sophie!

Thank you for watching Jordan and enjoying the reacts as much as you do! Honestly Jean grew on me a lot. There's a lot of depth to him and I really need to sit down tomorrow and write out my character development perspective as I want to include that in my outro for 16!! Especially looking at Jean, Connie, and Sasha and how they overcome their fear and the courage that it takes to make that step into the Survey Corps!

Late to the comments, but another strong development, though quiet, is Armin’s relationship with his own fear. His initial contact with the Titans resulted in a literal freeze - not fight, not flight, but freeze. And now look at him! Flung around by the Female, bleeding from a head wound, and still thinking and scheming- he thinks the Female is looking for Eren, ans he said, so he screams a lie about Eren being dead to distract her from killing Jean. His brain never skipped a beat this time! (Also, the growth of his confidence seems quite high - he just decided and ran with it, no dithering about whether he’s right or not first like he has before.)
