Just a friendly reminder that these videos will be posted in the evening UK time. Likely around 8 or 9pm GMT.

Once my job starts I won't be posting these until I'm home and had my dinner so please keep that in mind.

You don't need to ask where AOT is. It's on schedule but my schedule because I have to do what works best for me.

I've also been extremely busy preparing for my cat coming home tomorrow from the adoption centre which has pushed my filming back till Wednesday because I am

A) Exhausted

B) Want to help him settle in tomorrow night when he's here

Videos will still be posted to the schedule I specified this week just behind on Death Note so need to rush that out ASAP.

Ep 18 will not be early access. It'll likely be posted here uncut around the same time as it goes live on YouTube as they'll be done on the same day. But Ep 19 to 21 will be early access. Then we should be back on track next week with 2 Death Note and 2 AOT a week.

Dear Sophie, By the time you reach episode 19, there is a very important after credits scene in this episode.

Mesbah Mohamady

@daragh faro No for sure ! You might mean the other controversial mid credits scene of that other episode ! But the after credits scene of episode 19 should not be skipped at all !

daragh faro

Sophie, I just want to say that you dont need to always explain yourself to these people.. there will always be people like this it's literally never ending and I dont like that it affects you but of course it makes sense since its obvious you care a lot. Anyways I mean the best and wish you can get past the endless ignorance because it really is endless thats just the world we live in.

Mesbah Mohamady

And as a rule for this show, we should not quit until we see (To be continued) because in season 4 there will be multiple very important after credits scenes

daragh faro

Ahaaa yes sorry, I mixed up the episodes! I forgot it was an outro scene so we are all good since she doesn't watch the outros anyways.

Weeros

Interesting analysis as always again, good job! Given you’re now in Season 3, it’s good to raise the topic regarding upcoming teaser: in Episode 12 of the season (49 overall), there is a spoilery teaser scene from the upcoming episodes in the middle of regular end credits. There was an around 1 year gap in airing the episodes 12 and 13 so the scene, directly lifted from future ep was put there to entice excitement over the break. Given how astute you are in your observations, I would highly recommend NOT to watch it, it will simply spoil certain aspects of upcoming episodes which you’ll otherwise run into naturally. Given the nature of the clip, there will also be people urging you to watch it to get reactions but again for someone like you, imo it’s much better to not spoil yourself with the clip. The after credit scene in ep 19/56 on the other hand (and all the other ones) are unique, part of the story and must watch.

daragh faro

I am the same so I get you 😅 caring too much can be difficult sometimes.

Mesbah Mohamady

@DrSophieDarlingReacts To be clear, in a later epiode this season, there is a mid-credits scene that has been always controversial amongst fans about should it be watched or not, this scene is like a teaser for a later episode and it is spoiling specially for some one very intelligent like you, so I would say you would better avoid it, this scene is in the mid credits of episode 12 but any way you are not watching outros for now which is good But for after credits scenes, they are all important and should be watched as the after credits scene of s1 ep 25 and later the after credits scene of s3 ep 19 and later more after credit scenes in s4

DrSophieDarlingReacts

Ah okay!! What I might do is put it to a poll on YouTube and Patreon and see? Just to gather what the best interest is because if it's designed to be watched then I think it's still worth viewing it the organic way rather than purposely skipping it - but I can absolutely understand the fear of it ruining future episodes! Thank you for giving me your opinion though! I truly do appreciate it so I can gauge what other people think too and if it's something I intentionally skip if only to stop me guessing plot points too quickly haha!!

DrSophieDarlingReacts

Ah yes! Weeros mentioned too that they were worried that if I watched the mid credit scene of Ep 12 that it would spoil future episodes! I am going to do a poll on Patreon and YouTube probably this week just so I have the results in advance as I'll be filming 3 x 3 to 3 x 6 this week! By mid credits do we mean at the end after the outro or is it like smack bang in the middle of the episode??

Weeros

Heh, no it’s literally smacked in the middle of the end credits. Ie. if you skip end credits as usual you won’t see it.

krizalid117

I am of the same opinion: do not watch that spoiler scene. I usually urge youtubers to react to it cuz it's REALLY impactful and people get a lot of excitement from watching others react to it. But since you're a tad bit too smart, I'd say you skip it and watch it maybe after the season 3 (part 2) finale.

alpha charlie bravo

Reactions to it are usually compelling. But, for someone as perceptive as you it will spoil future events. It was intended as a teaser for those of us who had to wait months for the second half of Season 3.

Nifa was on the wall during the big reveal in S2

Anna Kyruin

Adding my vote to not watch it even though I know it will upset some people. You can watch it after the season to see what it would have been.

1. KENIIIIIII! 2. Can't wait for the next episode to get edited. I'm assuming you've already seen it. 3. When I first watched this episode I said "OH, Shit, you're F***ed" aloud when Hange Zoe gave the MP's a 'message' to 'pass along'. Don't F with Hange Zoe. 4. The animation change from S2 to S3 is kind of jarring for me as someone with an eye for it. IIRC the studio began "animeifying" the characters less and sticking truer to the manga designs. This leads to a lot of kind of awkward posing and a big change for what's considered "on model" for each character. It does also result in Hange being feminized less though, of which I approve. 5. When I watched the intro to the episode and realized it was a flash forward I remember saying aloud to my friend "Why isn't Armin with him, why isn't Armin with him!?"

DrSophieDarlingReacts

Okay I'm glad you brought up the animation because as someone that doesn't really watch much TV or anime - I thought I was going mad in wondering if the animation was different to last season? There was something about the way the faces were drawn that I was like "that looks slightly different to what I remember" almost like an uncanny feeling. Glad to actually know it's because there was a change in design!!

Anna Kyruin

She was actually in a lot of scenes in S2 * On top of the wall when they're covering the Titan in ep 1 * She's there when they kill all the titans at Utgard * She's there during the big reveal * She's the one who Historia begs to save Ymir and Connie asks to find Reiner and Bert because he doesn't know they're the titans. * She cheers Eren on in his fight with Reiner. She just isn't named and the art change between S2 and S3 makes it seem like she's totally new. It's very much Isayama coded to have a character like this in the background the whole time who you don't know to care about until the rewatch.

2025-01-17 23:35:13 Yes! I heard that Moblit appreciation 🤗 Lol I know Kenny's association to Levi is supposed to be intriguing, but I was honestly tickled by the fact he got Levi so riled up 😂 Can’t wait for your reaction to ep 2

2025-01-17 23:35:13 That would be tough to judge. The manga was written for you to be completely blindsided by the scene, but the anime presented it as a teaser. I'm sure the studio wouldn't have greenlit the teaser if the mangaka didn't allow it, but I'll personally say the original twist from the manga hits best as a complete surprise.

Great job as always. I wanted to point out something you mentioned: Eren is ripped. Every character in the military is ripped. The ODM gear is impossible in real life but the core strength needed to operate it would be insane

HAL

and once again everyones after eren and levi had to do with jack... KENNY the ripper

Reginald

Ok first! You gonna leave my dawg grisha alone! He is a phenomenal dad

Terry C

Everyone looks tall next to Levi.. I think Levi's height is about 5'3? Also, Nifa has been in the show here and there, she was one of the soldiers who participated in the rescue at Utgard Castle. Her and the glasses guy who also died this ep were fighting against Bertholdt. She was the one Connie was urging to help find Reiner and Bertholdt (before he knew they were the enemy)

Matthew hoholek

Honestly take your time on this show it makes that much better when you stew on it a bit instead of just rushing through it

Nick

Honestly, just watch the intros and outros. 1. It's a core part of the viewing experience, I really mean this. There's a lot of emotional themes in them that 1.) are core to the show and 2.) are intended for that point in the show specifically. They also build in interesting ways. No spoilers, but for example, the final song in the show's final ending credits relates to some of the intros/outros. It's not a huge thing, but it should be something you appreciate in the moment. 2. They are mostly incredible songs that are iconic for the show, lol, and you should hear them more than a few times. If you only heard them once after you watched everything --honestly, it genuinely would be so sad. (Exponentially more so for season 4!) 3. People who say you shouldn't get spoiled on the intros/outros make no sense. They contain stuff that does and doesn't happen. You cannot take them literally. 4. The artist intended for people to see them, and people need to stop pretending like they can tell this story better than him.

DrSophieDarlingReacts

The only reason why I'm not doing the opening and ending credits is because I want to analyse them within the context of the series as a whole. They'll have important symbolism and tone that sets the stage for what that series will explore. I can't understand that if I haven't watched each arc beforehand. I don't want to do the same tired react but actually analyse how the openings and endings are an extension of Isayama's story telling and for that I need the full context before I watch, react, and dissect which is my priority on this channel 😊
