The most charitable interpretation you could make is that she leaves the thumbnail drive behind to justify to herself whatever tiny scrap of self awareness she still has about her actions. But I guess the average viewer thinks that because we never literally see her masturbating, there isn't any sexual component to her obsession.

On further consideration you guys nailed it when talking about the audience for stuff like Law & Order SVU; they'll indulge in consuming any pornographic level of violence against women so long as "justice is served" in the end. Kelly-Anne leaving the thumbnail drive was just delivering "justice" (in the most callous way possible) so as to let herself off the hook for enjoying actual snuff porn.
