Great episode. Haven’t watched blonde yet but I’m excited to this week

I was thinking about Inland Empire while watching Blonde!!! It’s a nightmare.

Blue Moon Doll Studio

Great episode. Jack I think you would enjoy Alexandra Stoddard Living a Beautiful Life written 1988. It’s dated but wonderful. Had the same take on Lizzo. ‘With the publication of Living A Beautiful Life, Alexandra Stoddard originated the idea of creating an atmosphere of beauty and tranquility with simple touches that turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. As a world-famous interior decorator, she has worked her magic on interiors large and small, from mansions and embassies to cottages and studio apartments. Through her writing and lectures, she has encouraged millions to brighten their lives and their homes by turning mundane tasks into small pleasurable rituals that add beauty and joy to everything they do. Alexandra Stoddard's secrets of Living A Beautiful Life are yours.’

This is a baptism of coziness

I think you will really like JCO’s Blonde. The movie isn’t half as graphic or terrifying

Jake

This is brilliant. It just started to get chilly here. Listening next to a heater with a blanket as it rains softly. Just wonderful

Love this episode. The red carpet scene in Blonde: “Mwah! I love love love you all!” Was genuinely disturbing. Incredible stuff!

Nick

Planning on watching Blonde tonight. As soon as you mentioned the rose scented talcum powder with an oversized puff, I ran to my dresser and sprayed myself with a ridiculous amount of Agent Provocateur

"Eyes that look like buttons made of coal" 🤣🤣🤣

"The triple parentheses shadow people PAY for it?? Mmmhmm...OK. (sip)" Jack I coincidentally return to your work in the depths of despair and then find myself laughing like the dickens!

It's a wonderful book. Would love to see a TPN episode on JCO'S fiction

Perfect critique of modern audiences in your Blonde review. People’s expectations have been so engineered and subverted that it’s a surprise that something like Blonde could even make it out there.

Bryan

one of my favorite episodes of all time.

I like to think netflix commissioned blonde, thus popping its nc-17 cherry, as a way of asking 'can we make serious films?' the answer clearly is yes; the question now is can they take the heat

I liked the feel of this episode it was like a short intimate visit with Jack lol

I’ve only just got back to being intent on listening to your pod like the loyal fan I am, and I just love this episode! I was in the tractor when you mentioned your coffee was getting cold & just felt so bad for you😂 also, Blonde is immaculate. I’ve already chastised two women for having the wrong opinion about it. So good. Cant wait to have a bath tonight. Love you Jack
