Absolutely Fabulous legend Harriet Thorpe and son Jack Thorpe Baker stop by to chat about perfume, working with Elizabeth Taylor, and three films written by Gillian Freeman--The Leather Boys (1964), That Cold Day in the Park (1969), and I Want What I Want (1972).

"I've got enough clout to intimidate people into [taking in unfamiliar art and old scents without knee-jerk reactions of ridicule]" I think this is called "making it" in the most meaningful artistic way. Good.

I'm the friend Jack Thorpe-Baker mentioned about an hour in (the Silent Hill obsessive). I'm so delighted you all got together for this podcast. What Jack is doing in London is similar to what TPN has done in this medium, which is the restoration of joy after the uniquely oppressive culture of the 2010s. I think it could become a genuine centre of resistance here. We would love to welcome you to London. You MUST see Harrods, and Paris is only a train ride away. I was speaking to Jack recently about visiting the absolutely beautiful Caron store. I dashed there after I heard your BAM episode to get Yatagan (as well as Pour Un Homme, which I wore a lot this spring/summer).
