UGH these episodes always make me wish I had a bathtub at my house but all I have is a SHOWER. I have to move.

Glad Tar got your endorsement. You’re right, the ending does totally seal the fact about what this movies says about 2010s liberalism, it’s such a “fuck you”

Thanks Jack. So you got me hooked on vintage cookbooks. I found Celebrity Cookbook by Johna Blinn, it’s so great, celebrities from 70s- Larry Hagman etc, they give a recipe and kind of their philosophy about food and eating. It’s really cool and as big as a phone book. In it Farrah Fawcett mentions Dinah Shores cookbook ‘Someone’s in the kitchen with Dinah’ which is also interesting and a time capsule. Dinah was not conventionally pretty but lived with men like Burt Reynolds and Frank Sinatra so she must have been a good cook. Anyway- you send me down these rabbit holes with your casual conversation and I am truly grateful for it, you have enriched my life. ❤️take care

As soon as I heard the running water, I knew it was gonna be a great episode

Anyone know where I can find this version of the Mary Tyler Moore theme song? Feeling a strong need to listen to it on repeat

I don’t have kids and I think these same morose thoughts, more and more each year in regards to the holidays. You articulated it so much better and more concise than I could have, though. Thank god for you, Jack. I am so blessed to have found your show. Who the fuck needs therapy anymore when your show exists. ❤️ take care and I hope you feel better soon.

TPN puzzle party when?

Saw TÁR last night and when the Julliard class scene came, I knew it had earned a spot in the TPN canon. The pervasive German-ness of the setting and characters totally fits in with the movies you’ve talked about in past episodes, even though we learn about Lydia’s humble American origin towards the end.

Had a gleeful thumb's up moment regarding your essential truth about wine. Also, have you ever considered one day having your mom as a guest on an episode? It's so cool, the way you always speak so lovingly of your parents.

I love these episodes where you run a bath. This episode was great, and so was the one with SJP Stash. ❤️💯
