Jack, have you ever read Leaving Las Vegas by John O'Brien? It’s a relatively quick read. It’s definitely worth it. I feel like you’d appreciate it.

Last night, I drank an entire bottle of wine and several beers while listening to this episode. Meanwhile, one of the groomsmen at my wedding (a 37 year old man) is in the ICU for catastrophic liver damage due to his last 10 years of near constant consumption of cheap whiskey. Thank you for this, Jack — it arrived at a time when I needed it. PS only had 2 beers tonight.

Thanks Jack. Ditto all this with food. The shame is too much.

Hey Jack. Wonderful episode, I absolutely love your show. I get where you’re coming from with the social drinking. It’s really really hard to stop. I’m just 90 day’s alcohol free after 30+ years of drinking. It’s a huge part of our culture as Brits - same as most places. Life has gotten way brighter since I quit, though not without the troughs of depression. Takes 6months to a year for the brain to heal and the dopamine to regulate. Think of all the success a you’ve had recently with all your hard work - quitting drinking could take you to another level. Good luck man. I’m a Kiehls Original musk man, myself BTW. 😀

❤️❤️❤️ i love you Jack. your vulnerability is one of your biggest strengths. thank you for continuing to share your true self with us. beautiful episode. your strength and vulnerability will surely inspire others who are in a depressive state to reevaluate their lives and their relationship with alcohol/drugs/etc. you’re beautiful

I listened to this while hanging new drapery rods and curtains. Thanks for keeping me company. On another note-I switched from whiskey to wine (for some of the same reasons you stated) and got really fat and actually felt like an alcoholic for the first time. Switched back to Jameson and lost all of the weight on OMAD which is such a life hack. I can relate to a lot of what you say about alcohol and food. Love the way you keep it real. Great episode thanks ❤️
