Wonderful. Recently saw McCartney. A living treasure. Looking around the crowd, Lennon was right. The closest thing to Jesus going. Beatific faces. 80 year olds made teenagers again. Joyous tears in many eyes. You may need a whole season to do justice to this band.

I live in Britain and I don't remember the Beatles being in the public consciousness to the extent they are now, compared to when I was growing up in the Noughties. As great as they are, I find the current obsession with them depressing. Our country is going down the toilet, and instead of taking it back we are taking mental refuge in the being the people that produced the Beatles, Bowie, etc. Funnily enough, when Britain did conquer the pop culture it was before all the "cultural enrichment" we have supposedly experienced since the Blair era. So all this talk about the Beatles is bittersweet for me. Strange coincidence: I put on Habit Rouge this morning before I saw this episode hit! It is becoming one of my winter favourites.

Been Beatles-maxxing all fall; can’t wait for this. Ringtone and Lennon are the rhythmic core of the band - that’s why Plastic Ono Band is so tight

I'm a john girl but when I meet someone who likes paul they're always really nice

anyone can smack around their wife but not everyone could write Imagine

Great ep. The Beatles have always had a special role in my family dynamic too and I’ve been listening to the lately which is uncanny! People saying “the Beatles sucks” directing correlates to Joe Biden and unliveable cities across the west.

No takes, just love. How it should be!

Fun listen even if I'm not a Beatles fan. My favorite part is where Jack goes off on A.P. history nerds and Yankees.

Jake

Excellent episode, Jack. A great continuation from your iconic Yoko ep. My dear aunt would sing Eight Days A Week and Yellow Submarine to me as a child. Since then, they’ve been a part of my continuing story…they have made such a huge mark on us all!!

Donkey Byte

They are like a magnificent mountain I’ve never not lived under their warm shadow. Every time I listen to this didiy I hear them https://youtu.be/RacxNskxySo?si=FvzwAFwyi3OdoNHn
