This ring, adorned with the visage of a skull crafted from pink brain matter, is set upon a dark purple seal that perpetually melts over its edges, creating a hauntingly mesmerizing effect. The teeth embedded within the ring pulsate with latent psychic energy, indicating its connection to the realms of the mind.

The Psyskull Seal is imbued with a deep reservoir of cerebral energy, holding a total of 3 charges. Each dawn, the latent psychic vibrations within the ring replenish, restoring 1d3 expended charges.

While attuned to and wearing the ring, you can harness its power in the following ways:

Mind's Glimpse. As an action, you can expend 1 charge to briefly delve into a creature's thoughts within a range of 30 feet. For the next minute, you gain advantage on Insight checks made to determine that creature's intentions or truthfulness.

Mind Pulse. As an action, you can expend 1 charge to send a wave of psychic energy towards a creature you can see within 60 feet of you. The target must succeed on a DC 15 Intelligence saving throw or take 4d6 psychic damage, and have disadvantage on the next ability check or attack roll it makes before the end of its next turn.

Psychic Shield. As a reaction when you are targeted by an effect that would deal psychic damage to you, you can expend 1 charge to create a shield of mental energy around you, granting you resistance to psychic damage until the start of your next turn.
