Ji-a recognises Lee Yeon as her childhood saviour, and thinks he may have a lead in locating her parents; a skull is discovered on a fishing boat. We also get another awesome fight scene as Yeon's brother continues to create havoc left and right.

So technically if they are meant to die or died, the grip reaper department or afterlife dept (whatever its called lol) should have them on their list. That's why they have list of lost souls because if someone dies, their name is going to be listed automatically... so whether they stay on earth and be ghosts, or go through the process or if you're lucky and got saved by a goblin, all dead people or people that are supposed to be dead are going to be on the list. This is what i gathered from all the dramas I've watched around the same concept.
