I think they do refer to kings as the dragon back in those days bc of the dragon robe! Bestie's name is HONG Deok Ro while the female lead is SUNG Deok Im. They are from entirely different families and the surnames are different. Deok means virtue in Korean and a common word used for names. The Left state councilor is a distant relative of bestie HONG Deok Ro as mentioned in their meeting. Deok Ro's younger sister will be revealed in later episodes.
