I really love this drama and I really like listening to all your theories. It's fun!! The only thing I wanted to tell you is the correct pronunciation of eunuch is (YOO-nək) , LOL :)

There is a lot more to come. Another reason I like this drama as it shows many issues from the past. And I agree, angry Eunwoo is awesome.

Mo'hwa is essentially giving them a vaccine based off of live virus from something similar. In the teaser you heard Rim say "give me the Cowpox'. We don't get the smallpox vaccine anymore now that the WHO has considered it eradicated but there is a stockpile of the vaccine just in case. There is now a chicken pox vaccine that babies are given in part of the scheduled vaccines. Both dieases work similarly; puss filled blisters that are the main transmission mechanism that are itchy and will leave scarring. We learned in history that Christopher Columbus and other A$$hats gave smallpox infected blankets to the people they came across in the 'New World.' Once you get it and recover you are considered immuned. Like all things, kids are more resilient than adults. A 10 year old is more likely to survive than a 40 year old. The idea of sending a royal to the area to calm down the people and give them hope is still prevelant today. We have govenors and presidents showing up to diaster areas but that is after they are deemed safe. In this time, it is to calm the people and show the monarchy still cares about the people. At the same time, this offical was using it as the perfect excuse to help the king get rid of the thorn in his side.

I won't comment on how far off or how close your theories are, but one thing I would like to point out since this was already mentioned in past episodes, the son of the queen dowager that died was not the crown prince. He was the king at that time, that's why they've mentioned the "dethroned king" a few times now. The fact that you read the expression of Mohwa in that scene is a testament to her good acting. It does look like somebody who cares about the person she's looking at and has not seen in a long time. But I will not comment on what that relationship is.
