Mirae wins tickets to a perfume event that ends with an interesting family reunion and Sua seems to be on the hunt for an old photo of Mirae's school days while also trying to convince Kyungseok that she's sweet an innocent. As for Kyungseok, we get a closer look at his family life and an interesting flashback from his childhood. On top of that someone might be stalking Mirae and we have a feeling who it is.

I remember how when My ID was aired I didn't want to watch because synopsis sound so shallow but then I had nothing to watch in Oct-2018 or Nov, so I was like okay, let's give this drama a try as reviews were good and when I watched it, I fell in love with this drama & Cha Eunwoo. I was so not into kpop and after knowing Eunwoo, I started stanning Astro (the only group I stan). This drama has so many layers, a sweet female lead, an amazing male lead with brain cells. They are so awkward but so cute. Kyung seok mom is actually a sweet lady and we will see more of her back story. Both leads actually grow in this drama. Mi rae becomes more confident and Kyung seok more social. The lady who plays is mom is same age of eunwoo's real mom. So she really treated him like a son on the sets. Eunwoo was working for 20 hours during this time and poor boy used to sleep on sets between shots sometimes and she was so sweet.

this is pretty much my story as well but a little later, during covid. Astro was my only stan but I now also really like Vanner.

LMAO, this was me too! In fact, I balked at the description for MIIGB because Netflix had recently released the horror that was Insatiable, but my friend convinced me to watch because "her king" was in it. I ended up loving it so much I even started learning Korean to be able to watch live without subtitles.

Mirae and Kyung Seok's awkward tiffs at the start of the series because neither of them know how to communicate with each other effectively are so cute to me, lol, even though they stressed me out the first time I watched. But I love how MIIGB takes its time fleshing out how small moments can have a large impact on someone like Mirae, like how she frets about the flash incident with Sua or her original misconception of Wooyoung. Kyung Seok and his sister Kyung Hee are also very dear to me. The only thing I'll say is that while I think you're spot on that the dad is a superficial nutcase who wants his family looking perfect at all times, the other reason he's sending her to the US is that her grades are bad. So rather than suffer the indignity of having to tell people she didn't get into one of the top 3 universities in the country (Kyung Seok is attending Korea University, which is part of the "SKY" in SKY Castle if that means anything to you, lol), he will just tell them she's studying in the USA which sounds fancy even if it's a no-name college.

Exactly. Kyung Seok's dad sending Kyung Hee is more to do with bad grades than looks. He doesn't want to bear the shame that comes with his daughter cannot be part of top universities in Korea. He would rather send her in the USA that does sound like a big deal for many Koreans.
