From the archives, the OG Drone (Patreon)

Hey folks, to supplement some of my posts for this week and the next, I will be bringing up some old art and some previously unposted art. Unfortunately, I don't have time to make some new art.

It's been some years since I've posted these. These are some old concepts for "Drone," a comic I started working on with my friend Gunwild. You might recognize the look of her. See, way back in the day, we started thinking, how can we come up with a cyborg Cassandra Cain and take it into an original direction. That idea turned into "Drone," and long story short, it was kinda a cyborg assassin turned good guy.

And you might doubly recognize her if you've been following Cassiopeia Quinn. Minx and Penny came out of that old Drone project, though significantly changed since that original idea. You can't draw a lot of conclusions about Minx and Penny's backstory from their origin in a different comic. The stories have changed a lot! But I thought it was an interesting fact to bring up.

I've been drawing a lot of "drones" lately as a thing people like. It's interesting to me that had this comic been picked up instead of Cassiopeia Quinn, my entire career could've been "drones."

Kinda glad it isn't, but it's still something I would've had fun with.
