Andrew

Your reaction to Detective Hook was perfect. And yes, Adult Henry is SUCH a snack, whoever cast him deserves a medal. I like how in both versions of Cinderella, the fairy godmother just IMMEDIATELY gets axed.

Alicia Cue

omg yayyyy let’s get this party starteddddd🥳🥳

Hyperion Heights- Yay!!! Thank you so, so much for your first reaction for Once Upon a Time's season seven premiere, Travis!! I absolutely loved your reaction to this episode a lot, thanks to the joy and happiness you felt upon seeing both Regina and Hook return, as well as Rumple too!! And I really enjoy this episode a lot too!! This season is most certainly different, but still just as wonderful as all the rest!! I absolutely love, love, love season seven of Once Upon a Time!!!!! :) This episode was very much a reminisce of the Pilot episode for this show, because there are several comparisons. From Henry's and Cinderella's first meeting, which I will admit is not nearly as beautiful as Snow's and Charming's first meeting. Because let's be honest... I am biased and I love them so much. But with this being said... Henry's and Cinderella's first meeting is still enjoyable. To Lucy coming to bring Henry to town to break the curse that's over them like Henry does for Emma in season one's Pilot episode, and to the hyacinth flower growing though magic in this episode's ending being like the clock tower's hand moving forward as time starts again in Storybrooke, etc... This is most certainly a really great start for season seven!! And I am so, so happy to see Colin O'Donoghue, Lana Parrilla, Robert Carlyle, and Jared Gilmore all reprise their roles throughout this episode as well!! Both as themselves in this new realm, and under their cursed identities as well!! So, yes... There appear to be all new characters for this season so far, plus a few actors we know and love from seasons one through six, as they take on new roles... or roles of characters who have become cursed once again to become new characters. And now we have to get to know who they are, and I am so excited for you to get to know them too, Travis!! I very much love Andrew J. West as adult Henry!! I think that the casting is phenomenal for him because Andrew looks so much like Jared grown up, and his acting is spot on. He has a lot of Jared's mannerisms, and I just really love how Andrew J. West plays this adult version of Henry. I absolutely love his character throughout this season! :) As for Cinderella... She's just okay for me. I'm not really a fan of Dania Ramirez. This actress does a good enough job. I definitely like and certainly appreciate the twist on her story as she seeks out the Prince, only to want to kill him instead of to want to fall in love with him. And I do somewhat see a little chemistry between her and Henry. However, their chemistry is very weak for me. Of course... Perhaps it's because I'm once again a bit too biased, given that I am used to, and love Emma and Killian, as well as Snow and Charming, and Regina and Robin so much. It's a little hard to get used to a whole new way of thinking this season. Plus... We already have another version of Cinderella from season one's episode, titled... The Price of Gold, and season six's episode, titled... The Other Shoe, plus a few more episodes in between. So, at first... It was hard for me to wrap my head around there being a whole new version of Cinderella, as well as Alice, who we also get to know a version of in this show's less popular spinoff... Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. As for Alice here in season seven of Once Upon a Time... I didn't really get enough of a feeling of her in this first episode because her role is fairly small throughout this episode. However, she's interesting and intriguing so far. And so far... I really like her a lot!! I love the mystery surrounding her relationship with Detective Weaver (Rumple). And I especially love that she feels much more like Alice in Wonderland to me, than the version of Alice in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland ever did. As for Drizella... We don't really see too much of her either. But so far, she's a real witch just like her mother, and I am most certainly intrigued by her. Like mother, like daughter. Lady Tremaine, and Victoria Belfrey... Cinderella's stepmother and Drizella's mother, is pretty great, in a witchy kind of way. She isn't nearly as strong as the Evil Queen is by any means, nor do I like her as I have loved the Evil Queen or Zelena back when they first started out as villains. However, Lady Tremaine is a great addition to the show, and the actress offers a promising start. As for Lucy... She has definitely grown on me a little since we saw her briefly in the season six finale episodes... The Final Battle Parts One and Two. However, I still don't like her nearly as much as I loved Henry from the beginning. I feel that I am a bit biased, because I love Henry so much, and feel so much more of a connection towards him than I ever feel with Lucy. She's cute though. We are also very briefly introduced to another new character whom you will get to know more of later... Sabine, Jacinda's roommate and best friend in Hyperion Heights. You also see her for a moment at the ball as well, but we aren't told who her true character is outside of the curse just yet. But you will get to know her soon. I really love her character! And she's played by Mekia Cox, whom I love! And whom I suspect you know and love from the TV series... The Rookie, which I know she is also in too. And I love Hook's, Regina's, and Rumple's cursed names and their characters a lot. Hook is now Officer, or rather Detective Rogers... His name being taken from his beloved ship... the Jolly Roger, Regina has become Roni... I'm not sure where her name actually comes from, and Rumple has become Detective Weaver... His name coming from him being a weaver, or spinner of wool and straw into gold. I was so curious about all three of them from the beginning!! And I absolutely love, love, love their cursed personas as well! Just you wait, Travis!! :) I was especially excited to see where the partnership between Rogers and Weaver was going back when I first watched this episode!! And I absolutely hoped to see more between Rogers and Henry too. A relationship between Killian and Henry that I've always wished we had seen even more of within seasons two through six. I love all of the scenes and moments between Killian and Henry! And now between Rogers and Henry too!!! :) I also really looked forward to seeing Weaver's background and what has possibly made him apparently a villain again. Alice speaks very dubiously of Rumplestiltskin. After all, he is still the Dark One. But is he a villain, or something more? And of course... I really looked forward to seeing the development between Roni and Henry, a relationship I have always loved between mother and son. There's lots in store between these two!! Just you wait! So far... While I am absolutely excited and intrigued by seeing you get to know the new characters brought in, I am most interested in seeing your reactions to the development between the characters we know and love from seasons one through six as well, Travis! :) Oh, and in regards to Cinderella's horse, Phillipe being the name of a horse within the Disney movies... The answer is yes. Phillipe is the name of Belle's horse in Beauty and the Beast. Another fabulous nod to the Disney movies! :) And lastly... While Hyperion Heights is not a real place in Seattle, for the sake of the show, it is meant to be. Hyperion Heights here in Once Upon a Time season seven is a real place that is run and pretty much owned by Victoria Belfrey. Hyperion Heights was not created by the curse like Storybrooke was, but everyone was brought to this small town in Seattle by the curse. There are also many people living here in this town, who are not fairy tale characters, but real every day non magical people. And now... Victoria is doing everything she can to separate everyone that has come over from the new realm in the curse, by bringing more and more non fairy tale characters in so that she can kick the fairy tale characters out. This is why Lucy says that there are some fairy tale characters living outside of Hyperion Heights too. Overall... An excellent beginning! Just as Lucy tells Henry... That every story needs a beginning. And this is Henry’s story, which I really, really love!! :) I can't wait for more reactions from you, Travis!! Thank you again, so much! Sincerely, Heidi

It's so sad that Cinderella's Fairy Godmother never gets a chance to shine. She deserves so much better than to be fated to die straight away in both adaptations of Cinderella's story here in Once Upon a Time. Heidi

Symone

Yea… this season is for sure a slow start, I saw that dozing off at around 35:50 😹

Travis Manning

Oh this one is ok ! I don’t listen to anyone’s opinions like that because half the time I feel differently. I literally was dozing off (I’m on a new medicine) and she saw it 🤣

Miguelito

Thanks Heidi! Super excited for one last ride🥳

Alicia Cue

yes i will say this season is definitely different and it’s a bit of a slow start, but give it time i do think it will grow on you:) there are returning characters but there are a couple of characters that get introduced this season that become some of my favorites of all time. i’m excited to see what you think of this season

ingrid vedeld

Heey let's go final season!

Molly Moon

Those dresses are so tight they make my own chest hurt.

Gehazi Whitehurst

Yeah this episode is seriously jarring going into it expecting to have the OGs😭

Ha'ane Quichocho

I agree, going into this season is a little off because of how different it seems.. but it’s one of those things where you have to give it time to see all the pieces get put back together again. And a lot of people I know don’t care for the last season but I happened to really like it. And yes Killian in uniform is just unfair 🫠

I find it both funny and tragic Cinderella's Godmother dying in both versions. I do like both versions. Why the Godmother dies, what it shows about characters, where they take things, etc. But I do feel bad for the Fairy Godmother, and sad she couldn't really get her time to shine in both versions. Well, at least other fairies and/or godmothers get good stories and stuff.

BrokenInsaneGeno

Always great reading ur in-depth comments on here and YT. U go into such detail, that even if I don't completely agree with some points of urs (I do tend to agree with u more often than not though). ur comments are always enjoyable to read.

BrokenInsaneGeno

I can't tell u how excited I was to see u start reacting to OUAT again. Really excited for this season. I love this season. And it has great returning and new characters and relationships. And great other stuff too and stuff related to those things too. So I am excited to see u react to this season. I hope u like it. Honestly just happy u are reacting to it in general. So fans don't even give this season a chance, even though I do think it is really good and personally love it. So it is cool to see u reacting to it in general. Anyways, let's get this season started! Also, Detective Rogers/Hook is just awesome and hot (welp, Hook/Killian always is, but still). And Hook/Killian being a detective is both somehow really ironic, but also, fitting. Ironic, considering his pirate days. But fitting, because of him being in the Royal Navy and becoming a Sheriff with Emma, and etc. Idk, I just think it is both really ironic and suiting for Hook to be a cop then a Detective. Rumple being a Detective too is interesting too. And Rumple and Hook working together and stuff is just so interesting. I love their relationship/dynamic (one(s) of the best in the whole series imo), so it was really cool to see more of it this season. In some real interesting ways. It was already said by another commenter basically, but Hook's and Rumple's cursed names are so perfect and fitting for them. I love them. Also, Henry is great this episode. And older Henry is just great (both casting and character wise). Roni/Cursed Regina is just awesome; love her. I love Lucy too. I do like younger Henry overall more. But Lucy is honestly great too. Love her too. And I love Sabine too. She is a great character. And I love her take as a certain fairy tale character. Which I won't say, because it has not been revealed yet. Ella is great too. Though, like some other people, while I love Henry and Ella together. I do love other romances a lot more personally. Like Emma and Hook. And the Charmings. And etc. Still love Ella and Henry together though. I honestly love Lady Tremaine and Drizella too as a characters in this (they can both make me angry though at times). I won't say more about them, because spoilers. But I do really like both characters. Alice is also introduced in this episode. And Alice is just so Alice. Like, she feels so much like Alice. Really love Alice. And it is going to be exciting to see more of her (again) in the future episodes. Anyways, this season has both new and old takes on stuff and characters. And both old and new characters. Which I am excited to see again, and I am excited for you to see (more of it/them) too. Excited to see more OUAT reactions of this final season from you.

KILLIAN AS AN OFFICER IS THE BEST PART OF THE EPISODE FOR ME. I AM WEAK 🤤 😍
