This is a classic... and may have given me false hope in my love life as a child lol

Omg the way I love this movie!

To this day my Dad swears he's never seen the movie... whilst my Mom swears they saw it together literally at the cinema. It's a classic, definitely filled an educational hole here now that you've seen it :D I wouldn't be opposed to a journey through all the Julia Roberts 90s films - nostalgia at its best.

ugh such a classic one of my favoritesss only slightly ruined for me after my mom told me what an awful person julia roberts is but hey separation of art and artist amirite😅

It's been a really long time since I've seen this movie so I was wondering if it would hold up and it really does. Gonna be honest, I completely forgot that Jason Alexander (aka George Castanza) is in this movie and I definitely forgot how much of a jerk he is in it! I also recognize Barney from something else that I will keep secret since you haven't seen that yet. I love how Vivian's charm just wins everyone over to her side. I also recognized the manager from the store, but I can't remember if you've seen the movie he was in, so I won't say what it is just in case lol. Loved seeing this blast from the past again

Brilliant choice Amanda!

Yes Hector Elizando played Callie’s Dad in grey’s anatomy . This is one of my all time favorite movies, I can quote the whole thing word for word

This is a classic but I will say the scene when she's kicked out of the store and leaves is kinda ruined for me now since all I can ever think about is how Romy and Michelle mock it in Romy & Michelle's High School reunion, lol. I huge part of why this is such a classic though is Julia and Richard's chemistry, not to mention just Julia charm and the supporting cast also really does a great job. This was not Julia's first movie though, she had been in a few things before this, a big one being Steel Magnolias, which I HIGHLY recommend. It is also the ultimate chick flick. The cast is amazing in it, not only do you have Julia Roberts but also Sally Field, Dolly Parton and much more. I really hope you get around to that one some time! Another good one before this she did was Mystic Pizza and Flatliners came out the same year this did and that is also a really good movie that I recommend.
