hahaha the vitriol in your voice when you said “shonda strikes again”😭 too real but ugh whyyyy do this to april and jackson?? they’re my heartttt. crazy work from her mother to say that this isn’t between april and jackson but between her and god?? did god put a ring on her finger and knock her up? no. this is *their* baby and the guy deserves at least to be apart of the conversation. when one partner is as religious as she is, and the other isn’t..i don’t know how long that works, because for april there are three people in this relationship and to jackson, it’s the two of them. and that’s also just a beef i have to pick with some (most) religious people overall, because how dare you say god planned to give them a potentially fatally sick baby, and “he never gives more than you can handle” like a god like that sounds cruel as fuck

To answer your question about why MRI’s aren’t taken annually is for a couple reasons, 1: contrary to belief MRI’s don’t work as well as people think. There is no way to identify a disease early even with an MRI. For example, if you get a scan to detect for cancer, it could show up clear. Then you could get one a year later and a mass could appear and already be too late. 2: It could be damaging to underlying conditions that could cause kidney damage. 3: The cost is very high. 4: There are many misdiagnoses with MRI’s. 5: There aren’t enough machines for everyone to get a scan annually. 6: the side effects and magnetic risks. Metal in or on bones, braces, dental fillings, jewelry, body piercings, and more. I completely agree with your idea before I found these out, If MRI’s were accurate and non damaging I think it’s a necessity! Loved the reaction🖤

I agree, it was diabolical to do this storyline for April when Sarah waa pregnant irl. I love the Amelia-Richard friendship!

Honestly April's mom felt annoying in that episode. It should be April and Jackson's conversation only, imo. And yes, the end is frustrating because you have to wait for what's next. On another note that tumor storyline was wild (I just love though that moment of realisation with Stephanie running to Amelia). I also agree with you on Owen and Callie's friendship. I think it's great they're supporting each other.

William

I am sorry but April dismissed Jackson so much. Like she is annoying.

Bradey Bononcini

April is stubborn but I do think she was trying to understand what Jackson was saying; it just goes against what she believes in. All of this happening when you’re still pregnant must be the worst feeling in the world. And her mother just made everything worse. Telling them to not look at the test results is CRAZY 😭

For your question about the annual MRI screening; 1) Insurance companies unfortunately do not want to cover the cost on a more constant basis. Especially if there is no indications that it’s necessary. And most individuals cannot cover the cost if insurance doesn’t covers the claims. 2) It causes more health panic if there is something seen on the results and it may not be any cause of concern. It’s the reason why most individuals don’t wanna go to the doctor. They don’t wanna worry more than they have to.

A lot of other countries do, do a fully body work up yearly as an exam. MRI, CT, blood work, everything. But because America would rather make money than potentially save lives, they only do blood work. Insurance and hospitals make more money on someone who is sick, especially extremely sick with more time taking a room in a hospital and more tests done, than they ever would if they did preventative work. For instance, I need a MRI of my knees and back, BUT instead of just giving me one, they want me to spend thousands of dollars doing other tests over just giving me an MRI that will give a definitive answer of what's wrong because the insurance won't help cover it unless I do everything else first. Our Health system is broken.

Yeah I feel bad for Jackson because he’s just tryna help understand April and talk to her and then tells everything to her mom and not Jackson, whom she married? Like I somewhat understand but it’s a part of his life too. April and her mom kinda pissed me off this episode
