"Weirdly sexy Schneider" 🤣🤣🤣Penelope was so confused 🤣🤣🤣Ooh man! Victor had me heated the first time I watched this (who am I kidding, I'm still heated) 🤬🤬🤬But then that mother-daughter moment (which quickly turned into a family minus dad moment 🤣🤣🤣) gets my allergies acting up 😭😭😭

Ugh this episode hurts! Fuck Victor! I honestly think it would've been better if he just hadn't showed up at all. That way at least poor Elena would have kinda expected it. Because despite the fact that Penelope and then the rest of the family went up there instead, there was still that moment where she was stood there alone waiting for her Dad to come and dance with her, and that moment would've been so humiliating and painful and just awful. If he'd just not showed up, they could've prepared and told the announcer person to say Mother-Daughter Dance instead of Father-Daughter. It still would've hurt, but it might've made things a little less humiliating. That moment Lydia shows Elena the suit gets me every time, then the reveal that it's a suit. She looked STUNNING! And it just always makes me cry. Seeing Lydia (and Dr B) make such an effort to first make the dress that Elena would love, then realising that Elena doesn't WANT a dress and so making her a suit in one night. It's that moment of kinda realising that it's not about what Lydia wants her to wear, it's about what Elena feels comfortable in and what she wants. And I love that Carmen got to come! And that it was a surprise that they were clearly working on. With Lydia facetiming her to teach her the dance moves, and Schneider flying her out. And I love the smile on Josh's face when they hug too. I really like Josh, he's just so supportive and I love that they didn't go the easy route of having the boy who had a crush on the girl who turned out to be gay be all annoyed at being "strung along" and rejected and instead had him be so sweet. And Elena's excitement at her being there is so cute! I was so happy for her! Honestly, despite Victor being the worst, the Quinces turned out really well and it just looked like everyone was having fun and that makes me happy. Everyone going up to dance with Elena is such a great moment. And I love that the way they did it so much! With everyone kinda realising Victor has left, and Penelope looking over to Schneider who has clearly just gone after him (Idk if it was that he saw him leave and went after him to convince him to stay, or just noticed he was gone and went to find him) and them sharing that look as she realises that her daughter has just been severely let down by her Father. And I feel like you almost expect Schneider to step in, as he's kinda been the almost father figure to the kids at times and he's already standing up. But then they go and have Penelope do it and it's just so much better that way because SHE is the one who has been doing everything for those kids. She has had to take on all the parenting, yes she's had help from Lydia and Schneider, but it's not the same. And it just shows that amazing relationship between Elena and Penelope and gives them that moment. She is her Mother and she is there for her, she is the parent. (Honestly, whenever I hear about Father-Daughter dances, all I can think about is why not Mother-Daughter dances? So this is just perfect!) And then we have Alex go up there too, and it's just so sweet! (He was GREAT this episode with how he ended up putting things together and all that and then him coming and joining the dance...) and Lydia too. And then I love that when Schneider and Dr B come and join the audience kinda laughs, but are also clearly emotional about it. It's just this really sweet moment of all of them just letting Elena know they're there for her and I love it. It's just a moment about how the important family is the family who love you for who you are and that people like Victor don't matter... Sorry for how long this comment is... I can get a bit carried away, believe it or not, this is not even close to the longest I've made... Haha

I didn't recognize Carmen either. Elaine looked amazing in that pant suit.. they played the same song in another show that involved a similar plot must be the go to song haha. I was tearing up at the end too.

The dance moment here is one of those TV moments that will make me tear up each and every single time I watch it. The way it perfectly circles back to the very first episode with the "I got you" line - ugh so fucking good. Season 2 is a banger and I can't wait for you to get into it.

I love that she basically had a coming out party. I love that Carmen was able to go. Thank you weirdly sexy Schneider! XD Lydia going against her own vision to give Elena the pantsuit of her dreams, has my whole entire heart! Love her! Alex was so sweet to take over and let his mom rest! Penelope looked so gorgeous! That dress was perfect for her! and finally...FUCK YOU Victor!
