I remember when she was on So You Think You Can Dance as a kid. I love watching her perform now. She is so engaging!

Hi Travis, Thanks so much for reacting! I’m so glad you like her music. Tate is only 20, and yes she writes all of her own music! Think Later only released beginning of December 2023 so it’s still pretty new. She used to be a YouTuber and a competitive dancer which is how she originally became known. She was runner up on So You Think You Can Dance: Kids. She had a series called “Create With Tate” on YouTube where she would share her original music just in her bedroom, which is how I found her back in the day. Those videos are still up on her channel if you scroll all the way to the beginning. She was amazing back then but even better now. It really is a bummer how short all her songs are, but I think it is also cool because of people’s short attention spans. I think you hit the nail on the head with that one. But it’s so wild. This is literally a no skip album for me. I would say my least fav is Guilty Conscience because it feels a bit repetitive but I still like that one too. My favorites are for sure Calgary as #1, but I love Think Later, Exes, We’re Not Alike, Greedy, Messier, and Grave as my absolute favorites. Literally this whole album was so good it’s hard to pick. I’m so glad you enjoyed her music, she’s so so talented and it’s so exciting that she is getting recognized. Also she is fantastic live!! And super entertaining. She has a ton of acoustic videos where you can hear her voice. She has been recently combining her dancing and singing live (before she would usually either do acoustic, or like a song with a dance break) but she has pretty bad asthma so it is definitely a learning curve/. But her most recent performance at the NHL halftime show was a great show vocally if you are interested in checking out her live stuff. She is literally the entire package of anything you would want in a musician and I really think she is going to leave a mark in the music industry for this generation. Amazing voice, great songwriter, incredible dancer and stage presence. Great at fun dance songs but also slow beautiful ballads. Literally it’s insane. Also her fashion choices are always super unique but also like laid back. She’s very into sports/hockey so a lot of her outfits are jerseys/ sports uniforms paired with like girly pieces so it has the contrast of the tomboy/girly look that is very y2k. lol I never noticed her wearing shorts over her pants in that We’re Not Alike video. This is her 2nd album. She had a previous one called “I wish I could fly” that I might sponsor if you are interested in hearing her older music. Her first album is a lot more experimental in sound since she was playing around and trying to figure out her style. In my opinion, that album as a whole is a bit weaker. It’s still great and there are some songwriting gems on there for sure. (I think 2/3 of the album is good but it’s definitely nowhere near the level of Think Later. I think Ryan Tedder and Tate make a great team and that really brought Think Later to another level. This album was definitely giving baddie energy. Her previous album was giving like sad girl/ pop punk but with an emphasis of pop. let me know if you think that’s something you would like to hear. I can’t guarantee you will love it but it might be interesting to view her early stuff and I’m sure there are many songs on there you will like, but it’s just not as strong as this current album.
