Weekly Update - 8/28/24 (Patreon)

So, there's CARP 11 done. There's only two chapters left in that storyline. One will essentially be a finale and the other will be either an epilogue or also a finale, make of that what you will. Whenever CARP wins the next vote, it'll be a two-fer, so I can wrap that storyline up.
It's not the only one nearing completion. There's only a handful of chapters left in Morgana's Gift also, although there's room to revisit that story later in the future if there's enough demand for it. That'll clear a few things off the deck, since I know a few people have said they think I may have too many different stories going at first, although I know that a lot of the stories have their dedicated fans, so keep that in mind when you're asking why story X got a new chapter and your favorite thing didn't.
I'm going to try and cram as much writing as I can into the next four days, but I'm sure something's going to get left behind for the month. I'll do what I can. The next intermission of QT2 will probably be one of those things that slips to next month, simply because I'm having to work with another person to get translations for all the dialogue. Most of the research for that intermission's already done, though, so hopefully the words themselves come quick enough. I also need to get another chapter of A Pack Of His Own done, and I'm partway through a Brewster's Brood chapter already. Hopefully you'll see some permutations of those done over the next four days or so, but if some spill into early September, accept my apologies and recognize I'm doing everything I can to get caught up to having a working monthly schedule. We're very close, and if I can corral my muse into showing up just a little bit more, it's feasible we get there. No Breakpoint this month, but I'll do it early in September. The QT2 intermission's a laugh, though, so for those of you who have saying the fiction's been a bit too bleak lately, you'll get a good chuckle out of QT2:i6. I was grinning from ear-to-ear while I was outlining it.
My copy of Star Wars Outlaws arrived yesterday, and it spent a good few hours installing and downloading, and I haven't had a chance to fire it up yet, although I hear it's quite good. And the Indiana Jones game coming out soon also looks like a banger. And I'm delighted to see Silent Hill 2's remake is sounding like it's actually going to be good, because I love that game, and it's basically been out of print forever.
For those of you asking, my television group is currently watching Only Murders In The Building, Bad Monkey and finishing up this most recent season of The Bear, which is too good to rush through, except, of course, Slow Horses and Severance are both back very soon so there's loads of good things on. Slow Horses might be my very favorite thing on television right now, and if you had an Apple TV+ subscription that you just had for Ted Lasso (and who could blame you), trust me, go watch all of Slow Horses right now. "If you'd meant to kill him, he'd still be alive..." may be one of the lines of dialogue I'd wish I'd written the most. The Rookie won't be back until January, but it's got almost a full season, so that's good, because Nathan Fillion is a gem of a human. Also, I've seen news that there will be more Red Dwarf next year, so things are looking up!
Also, as a reminder, for part of October I'll be in New Zealand, so things may be shaky that month. I'll try and claw my way ahead, but at this point, I'm not making any promises.
Here's what's coming to public sites soon: 8/31 - QTAA9, Quaranteam: Unbroken Mold 1; 9/7 - Before The Storm 10, QTB2:i4; 9/14 - QT2:21, Pack 10; 9/21 - QTPT 19; 9/28 - Neon Stonehenge 6, QTAA 10 (conclusion).
That's all I got for today. Hopefully the world's doing you right. And if it isn't, well, grab your nearest bit of timber and smack the world upside the head. I'll be back soon with... something? One of the things. As many of the things as I can put together.
