Weekly Update - 7/13 (Patreon)
Content
I realize I'm posting this in the middle of the night when I normally do, but it's been a hell of a week. I got my eyes checked last week and picked up new glasses with a new prescription yesterday, so writing has been a little weird while my eyes settle with the change. I'm one of those idiot men who always forgets to get to doctors often enough, and so while I thought it had been three or four years since I'd had my eyes checked -- turned out it was seven. That's too long.
There was a great reaction to last week's chapter of Morgana's Gift, which is good, because I'd sort of worried that the shift might put a few people off. I'd had that pivot planned for a long time, and I wanted to take time to make sure I got it right. I think I did, it seems like you did too.
We also dropped the next chapter of Quaranteam today, as we start heading towards the tail end of Book One, and I know people have all sorts of theories about where I'm going with it. Hang onto your hats, because I'm keeping all the cards close to the chest from here on out.
Friday or Saturday will bring us the next chapter Quaranteam: Phil's Tale and we're not even caught up to chapter 20 of the main storyline yet. Next Tuesday will bring out next fan voted chapter, If I'm Honest 11, the penultimate chapter of that story. While I may revisit the IIH universe at some point, this current storyline wraps up with chapter 12. And a week from Friday, 7/22, will be the darkest thing I've written in a long time, Piper's Prelude 4, the penultimate chapter of that pentalogy as well.
Here's the public release schedule for the next month or so: 7/16 - The Seven Secrets of Mr. Magpie 1, 7/23 - Quaranteam 42, 7/30 - Quaranteam: Piper's Prelude 2, 8/6 - Quaranteam 43, 8/13 - Quaranteam: Phil's Tale 7.
Anyway, it's late and I should get to bed. I leave you with the band I saw in concert just a few days ago, Motion City Soundtrack from Minneapolis, whom I've seen in concert like 4-5 times, and they're always great.
