Here's where everything stands right now - I am still testing positive for COVID, but that's probably just an after-effect of having HAD Covid, so tomorrow I'm going to get loaded on a train, spend about a day getting back towards an airport, then spend two days at an airport hotel before heading back to the States. My work here is mostly done (I'll still be doing some final work via remote during my two days in the hotel) and I'm starting to finally see some light at the end of the tunnel.

All of this means that I'm still behind the 8-ball in terms of work to get done, but I'm going to do what I can to get caught up when I have the chance. I'm already 2k words into Friday's story (a return to Mr. Magpie) and expect that'll be posted on Friday like it's supposed to be, but commissions may be a week and change behind schedule. Doing what I can to get caught up on that but spending a literal six days sleeping 16-18 hours a day didn't do a whole lot in terms of letting me get work done.

But for those asking, I feel fine other than a lingering cough and tickle down the back of my throat, so given enough time, I should come through on the other side and everything will go back to normal.

I see people are having all sorts of fun looking at QT:PT10 and yeah, there's quite a bit of world building going on in there, along with one of my favorite chapter closing lines I've written in some time. Also, be sure and glance through the visual guide I dropped earlier in the week - it's got loads of new information in it, regarding who's where and if you feel character overload, that'll help. I'll be posting the imageless version to the public sites in mid-September or so, and the imageless version will also be in the print version, naturally.

Next week, we'll have a new chapter in Brewster's Brood (and an accompanying profile for those of the higher tiers) on Tuesday and a return to Before The Storm on Friday, that I'm very much looking forward to finishing. I've got some of it written already, but at this point, it's one of the stories that's clawing its way forward, demanding some attention. I was actually having some trouble figuring out what I wanted to do with Magpie 3 but I had a flash of inspiration in the middle of a fever dream last week, and took some notes for an idea which basically spans 3 & 4 of that story. It'll make sense when you see it, and consider yourselves thankful you don't have to try and read my feverish handwriting on hotel stationary.

The week after that, 9/13 will mark the debut of our second Tier 2+ exclusive, not to public sites story, Breakpoint, which I've written a bunch of already, and will continue adding into over the next few weeks in spare moments. The first chapter alone of that does a bunch of things I've never done for work here before, and I think you're all going to love it as much as I am enjoying writing it. The Friday of that week will be another You Vote decision, and I'll throw that poll up over the next few days. Maybe sometime next year, I'll do a public preview of the first chapter for everyone, as a try-before-you-buy, but we'll see.

And, of course, 9/23 is still the target day for Quaranteam 50, the end of Book One. As a reminder, Book Two will start up in November, so no mainline QT stuff for October, as I work on the massive edit/cleanup pass.

Just here to know what the freebees schedule looks like? We've all been strapped for cash at some point.  9/3 - QT44, 9/10 - QT 45, 9/17 - Threadbinders 4, 9/24 - QTPT8, 10/1 - Before The Storm 1.
