Both the Jurassic Park and Superman themes are from the same composer. The legendary John Williams

John Lawton

Based on the runtime, this is the theatrical cut.

And Star Wars and Harry Potter and how many million of others (I exaggerate :D but still...) During the theme I was singing slightly off-key lyrics like, "How obvious is it that John Williams wrote this music?" and so on... :D

John Lawton

Not exaggerating very much though! Watching many old TV shows and movies from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s when he was credited as Johnny Williams (including Peter Gunn, Irwin Allen productions like Lost In Space, Time Tunnel, Poseidon Adventure), he may be the most prolific composer of movie/TV music ever (one might say scores of Scores) and still going strong at 92!

FYI Dawn The Superman movies just get more silly and childish from here on out. To an excessive degree. Completely up to you if you want to continue the series. But none of the sequels after this are fan favorites. The logical place to go from here for the genre of comic book superhero movies is Tim Burton’s 1989 “Batman” Don’t know if you’ve ever seen this original Batman movie or not. But it is the natural place to go after this. The original 1989 Batman was a game changing movie that many of movies that came after owe a lot to.

I like that: scores of scores! I forgot how far back his credits went. I knew about Lost in Space and had forgotten... And of course the first Blockbuster, Spielberg's little shark movie... S C O R E ! :D

Robert Inman

Dawn, Zorg was the bad guy from The Fifth Element.

it's not just you. Lois is a pain in the butt. And the next TV one was as well. Amy Adams playing Lois in Man Of Steel was the first time I ever liked the character. Adams is amazing.

They shot Superman and Superman 2 together, but the director Richard Donner quit the project before the post production began for the 2nd movie. The producers meddle too much with the movies, Donner was fed up with them and left. They hired the new director Richard Lester to finish and re-shoot alot of the scenes for Superman 2. The Paris scene wasn't in the original script but add by Richard Lester. Also you don't see Marlon Brando at all in the second movie as he wanted too muich money.

Edward Olson

Actually, the were shooting both together and at a certain point it became necessary to focus only on finishing scenes for the first movie to make the release date. Once principal photography on the first movie was completed, Richard Donner was FIRED (he didn't quit) and was replaced. They re-shot Marlon Brando's scenes for Superman 2 because they didn't want to pay him the negotiated percentage of the films box office.

Great Caesar's Ghost, Simon! Was Noel Neill that bad, too? I can't remember! 🤔

Also, the original idea filming both movies was that Superman 1 would end on a cliffhanger, with the missile that went into space freeing the Kryptonians, but the studio was nervous enough about one movie. Superman turning Earth backwards was supposed to end the second movie and undo all the damage (including confessing to Lois), but the first movie needed a happy ending.

Thank you so much for this Patreon exclusive, Dawn! For the best viewing pleasure of the "Christopher Reeves" Superman versions, use the watch list I provided you when I sent all the Superman dvd movies & in my DM comments to you here on Patreon. Superman Returns is the TRUE sequel to this movie, although Christopher Reeves & Margot Kidder were not Superman & Lois respectively. So you'll like Lois a bit better, lol. After Superman Returns, then I'd suggest watching either Superman 2: Donner Cut or Superman 3, If you watch Superman 3 next, when you get to Superman Returns after Superman 4, it will make little sense & the time line of the saga doe NOT line up. The watch list I came up with at least puts all the films in the most logical & total sense viewing order for this Saga before Superman became "Man of Steel" & a whole different kind of saga & actors. Christopher Reeves saga is still my fav tho.
