Um, I think the photo tells the tale 😁... How's Gran? Hope fit as a fiddle! 🎻

Hey Dawn!! Remember back when you watched the anime film Akira How you said you started something. Well I hope you return to anime and continue what you started. Recommending the anime film “Princess Mononoke” (1997) The English dubbing for this film is good too! They got quality gifted actors for the English voice over for this one. Unlike with Akira.

Jimmy Walker

The narrator was Robert Mitchum, he stared in many westerns including co staring with John Wayne in El Dorado. Harry Carey Jr. the actor who played the sheriff was in 9 movies with John Wayne. Also, the rancher that the take Doc to was played by Charlton Heston, who you know from Planet of the Apes.

Dawn, with all due respect, the majority of the time, TRUE stories are not always razzle dazzle epic shoot em ups, even with Hollywood's thumb on the scale. Not even the wildest of producers can change the ending of a historically recorded event. And since I'm already going to get crucified by your fans over my tone, answer me one more question......Do you ever respond to anyone's comments on any of your streams? 🤔🤷‍♂️

Bartleby

Robert Mitchum gave a legendary performance in the classic film “Night of the Hunter” (1955) Arguably his most iconic film.

Jimmy Walker

you might enjoy "My Darling Clementine" staring Henry Fonda and directed by John Ford. Black and White movie about Tombstone, Arizona and the famous gun fight that took place there.

Chicago Artist Jon

Meh. Didn't really like it. I'm your huckleberry is kind of old time slang for I'm your man for the job.

Robert Jewell

I'm with you on thie one. Some folks thinks it's the greatest movie ever made, but it doesn't know how to feel like the time period and more like a graphic novel. Best thing about it? Val Kilmer. Worst thing among others is Dana Delaney as the love interest. She a goid actress when cast appropriately, but she and her character are way too modern in terms of her dialogue and her delivery to the point of being preposterous. Dawn, definitely watch John Ford's MY DARLING CLEMENTINE (1946) which tells the same tale with perfect efficiency and pure poetry whether it's action moments or quiet observations.

Jay

Thank you so much for your honest review. I like some scenes in this movie, but I never really liked the movie for the same reasons you said.

Manny

Yep......I only watched it because you were. I saw it at the cinema and didn't care fir it then either.

Respectfully, you're insane if you don't like this movie. Although I wonder if you'd prefer the movie "Wyatt Earp" over this one. It's basically the same story, but it stars Kevin Costner.

Chicago Artist Jon

Go easy on the sarsaparilla or you’ll be sarsapoopin all night

Chicago Artist Jon

Never had it. I imagine it to be like A&W root beer use to be. Or a Cock Robin root beer float.

Robert Nelson

Yes, I think I prefer "Wyatt Earp" more. Val Kilmer and Kurt Russell are the only thing that made this movie enjoyable (aside from a few one-liners).

Ragnar Miersch

Wyatt Earp as "...a male sex professional..." was defiantly not on my Bingo Card today. Very encouraging to see that Miss Dawn still has vague recollections of Deadwood! I grew up drinking Sarsaparilla and Birch Beer. Who knew that 50+ years later Dawn and I would have something in common.

JL Green

Oh darlin',I was really hoping this was going to be best movie ever. Well, that's ok. Life would be boring if we agreed to everything. Try the movie "The Wild Bunch." I think it'll restore your faith in the Western genre.

Louis Marzullo

Wild Bunch is in the books, Mr. Green 🙂 And I don't think we need to worry about one clunker (or ten) shaking Dawn's love affair with Westerns!

Louis Marzullo

Hey, that reminds me- Dawn needs to watch some Marcello Mastroianni films! 😂

Bartleby

Try the western “Young Guns” (1988) Based on a true story.

Simon

Nice one Dawn. You don't have to love everything!

warcrimes

It's an unpopular opinion but I didn't care too much for this either. Great cast(especially Val Kilmer) but its pablum for the masses. Wyatt Earp(the movie) was a better depiction of these events IMO

JL Green

Great, how about "Marriage Italian Style" or my personal favorite as a kid, "La Dolce Vita?"

VM Kane

‘Tombstone’ is what happens when you sink so much money into producing the definitive historically accurate Earp movie that you have to market the result as brainless shoot ‘em up summer blockbuster, whilst ‘Wyatt Earp’ is what happens when you try cramming a 10-hour miniseries into a 3-hour feature. Both are flawed compromises, but both are very interesting. To be honest, the more you know about the history, you more little gems you find in ‘Tombstone’ but it’s not great as a first Earp film. Earps aside, if you prefer a more traditional vibe, maybe try the TV movie ‘Conagher’: peak Sam Elliott, a great cowboy story, and one of the few really satisfying western film romances. It’s unfairly overlooked.

Louis Marzullo

Interesting how movies that don't grab you inspire some of your best, most insightful & funniest outros! And "I don't like it when I don't like a movie you guys love" is just the sweetest, Dawniest thing to say, but of course we'll love you forever & ever no matter what you crap on! (unless it was the Godfathers) 😆

Louis Marzullo

Excellent choices! "As a kid"! Wow, that's quite a precocious palate you were packing there, my friend!

JL Green

Ha! It was completely accidental. I was a pre-teen watching TV on the weekend. Needless to say, I was enjoying it but didn't know why. 😅

Bartleby

So many people are going to be infuriated in the comments section of the YouTube video for this! 😂 Do yourself a favor and just avoid the YouTube comments for this one. The things is Dawn, the people who will be agitated by your reaction to this, they haven’t seen nearly as many westerns as you have. So take their criticisms with a grain of salt. You’re more educated in the cinema western than all the people who will inevitably be aggravated by your reaction. Even the thumbnail is going to annoy and anger some people 😂 We’ll always have your back here Dawn Marie.

JL Green

One more to complete the trilogy, "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow."

Just another Red Shirt

The movie I think it’s only legendary because of Doc Holliday’s fun one-liners, and the cool shoot outs. A lot of the dialogue is corny and the ending, to me, is lame. If you don’t watch it for the channel, you should definitely check out Wyatt Earp with Kevin Costner , it is a better film.

Just another Red Shirt

You’re not missing anything the movies not that good. It’s an action movie in cowboy boots. I’m a huge John Wayne fan , But the western movie, entitled “the missing” Is one of the best westerns I’ve ever seen. It has Cate, Blanchett and Tommy Lee Jones. Also, Tom Selleck is in three great westerns.
