BUZZING for this poll! I hope you don’t mind if I use it a lot 🤣 you all know how much I love a silly old man!

Edward Olson

Space Cowboys is not silly nor a comedy

Craig Gustafson

My vote is familial. Jack Lemmon's character and I share a last name. And the movie opens with a mispronunciation that got me in trouble at age five for correcting a nun.

JL Green

Looking at the list made me feel grumpy so naturally my vote goes to grumpy old men.

Robert Inman

Grumpy Old Men gives Dawn a twofer!

Jeff Forbes

Bucket list is an amazing movie, but I think should be in a more serious drama/comedy type theme. Hence why I voted grumpy old men. 😊

Ethan Firl

My favorites never win the polls!!! As Good As It Gets is my choice because I AM Jack Nicholson. Good thing we have such a clever and attractive hostess. It almost doesn't matter what she's reacting to. It's always entertaining!

Grinznmore

Grumpy Old Men. Caddyshack has not aged that well.

Yorkshire Shaft

Top secret is a welcome surprise very daft and funny. Very airplane like film strange to see val kilmer and omar sharife in a film this silly.

Nathan Wolff

I want to encourage everyone to vote for Grumpy Old Men. Caddy Shack is more of a youthful coming of age movie than it is a ridiculous funny old man movie.

Simon

Yeah, I don't understand why Caddyshack is on this list. Or Burn After Reading. Or Top Secret. Am I looking at the right list?

Jay Perry

I voted for Burn After Reading, but About Shmidt is great too. I KNOW it's not winning a poll, but that doesn't prove you shouldn't react to it. You may gain an audience brauder than you have now. I would watch Burn After Reading with you with joy. I may not be alone here. Another great grumpy old man movie, is I'm Not Rappaport with Walter Matthau and Ossie Davis. Two favorites. Classic comedy drama. But it will never win a survey. 😒

Louis Marzullo

I think me waiting for my morning Advil & coffee to kick in so I can function is funnier than any of these.

Ragnar Miersch

I agree with Nathan on this. Caddyshack is definitely a movie Dawn would enjoy, but it really doesn't fit the category. Despite there being two or three older gents in the film, they are not the endearing, loveable type of characters Dawn seems to favor, quite the opposite IMHO.

Eric Janssen

About Schmidt, Bucket List, Space Cowboys and Grumpy have OLD mannies, but not necessarily funny ones-- While Top Secret has a young funny mannie in the Airplane style. Maybe if you clarified which of the two you especially meant?

Elliot Nesterman

I am suprprised that "The Over-the-Hill Gang" didn't make the cut, as it stars Walter Brennan, one of Dawn's favorites, Andy Devine, whom she enjoyed in "Stagecoach", and a slew of other Western old-timers.

Louis Marzullo

Some folks misunderstood & thought Dawn was asking for poll ideas; others submitted suggestions that didn't really fit the category (as patrons Mannygogou & Simon pointed out)... Anyhoo, hope we're getting a reaction today. The happy pills only do so much for this silly old mannie! 💊

Louis Marzullo

I think The Departed is Nicholson's funniest old mannie role, so consider this my official write-in ballot (in addition to my Grumpy vote). I have alot of experience with those... 😏

2024-11-27 01:09:04 I've seen every reaction to Caddyshack , it's aged fine. Not everyone needs things spoonfed to them, they understand different eras of movies and social mores, especially on a reaction channel like this where films are watched spanning literally a hundred years of cinema.

AS GOOD AS IT GETS (1997) is hands down the best choice for MANY reasons: - 2 Oscar winning actors with their Oscar winning performances playing opposite each other: Jack Nicholson And Helen Hunt - in a tremendously funny and quirky comedy set in New York City -that Dawn will surely love ❤️ -that is my personal Best Movie Ever!

Who knows? Your actual vote may lead others to change their votes too!

Wow , i didn't vote due to horrible choices but maybe next poll will be better
