Of course, now you've given away that It's a Wonderful Life was indeed the black & white movie from last year. So both my guesses were right. You weren't mistaken. You did recognize Jimmy Stewart from It's a Wonderful Life. I had never heard of this movie before, either. So I have you to thank for introducing it to me.
