You will need your own copy of the movie to watch along! 😁

I really can't get over how much I enjoyed Lee Marvin in this movie 😊

I'm ready for The Godfather and Unforgiven reactions once she gets all the crap out of the way. I can only watch along with A rated movies. Got both on file ready to go.

Great reaction! Lot's of fun. Lee Marvin: Cat Ballou has already been suggested, and I second the suggestion. I think you'd love it. Donald Sutherland: Kelly's Heroes has also been suggested, which would be a fun war movie, with Sutherland, Clint Eastwood, Don Rickles, other well-known stars of the time. And if you've never seen the movie version of M*A*S*H, he was Hawkeye Pierce. Well worth seeing, IMHO. Charles Bronson: Once Upon a Time in the West. This is a Sergio Leone Western, much like The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, but a bit slower paced at times. Bronson is solid in this, and Henry Fonda plays against type as a truly heinous villain. Richard Jaeckel (Sgt. Bowren, the Major's right-hand man): Mostly played supporting roles, so I'm guessing The Dirty Dozen may have been about his peak (maybe one of several). He also had a large role in Sometimes a Great Notion, but I'm not a great fan of that film myself. Others may like more than I do. Others may also be aware of more films where he is prominent, but I remember him mostly has a supporting player.

I was surprised you didn't recognize John Cassavetes from Rosemary's Baby (1968).

Hey Dawn, another war movie you might like that's similar in feel to this one is The Great Escape (1963).. starring some faces you already know: Steve McQueen (Mag 7) Charles Bronson (Mag 7, Dirty 12) James Coburn (Mag 7)

In case you never got an answer, the actor playing Pinckney (the fake general) was Donald Sutherland who was also in the movie version of MASH, most recently he played President Snow in the Hunger Games movies. His son is Keifer Sutherland (Young Guns, 24). Charles Bronson also starred in the original Death Wish films, Mr. Majestyk, Death Hunt (with Lee Marvin), the Mechanic, The Great Escape, and Once Upon a Time in the West. Lee Marvin starred in The Delta Force (his final film which also starred Chuck Norris), Point Blank (which was remade as Payback with Mel Gibson), and two more John Wayne films, The Comancheros and Donovan's Reef.

A few other good war films are Kelley's Heros, which starred Clint Eastwood, Donald Sutherland, and Telly Savalas (AJ Maggott, in this film), The Devil's Brigade, Guns of Navarone, Objective Burma, and We Were Soldiers.
