The Liaison's Journey - A Movement CYOA (Patreon)

Welcome individual insanities, to a new kind of CYOA I'll be running over the coming month!

You are collectively played as a person known as 'The Keeper', who has been given an island to look after by the Ki'An compound; a group of cultists who worship the entity known as 'The Goddess Yi Lin'.

A lovely isle, as you can see.

Your relationship with Yi Lin though, unlike many of those from the compound, is more like one of 'buddies'; preferring high-fives and mutual hijinks over any kind of power dynamic between you. That's just how you roll, baby! To the point where you think it'd be great to be able to ascend to the spirit realm to meet her there. After all, if she could do it...why not you?

Such thoughtfulness toward Yi Lin is not, however, spared for your fellow mortals, whose bodies and minds you are willing to warp into the tools and fuel needed to launch you into said celestial realm.

One problem though. You're stuck on the island. You need to keep the outpost's lantern charged with En-- the magic of the world-- in order to preserve its position and keep existences such as Jinn at bay.

Normally this would but a bit of a dampner on any ideas of exploration and tribal assimilation, but thankfully the Compound you hail from has also given you something else: A Liaison.

An existence unaware of their connection to Yi Lin, but perfectly capable of spreading Her Will without knowing it. The perfect tool for you to use.

After a little bit of tweaking of your own to get her to begin following the Statue Doctrine you adhere to, you charge her with the task of exploring the local area and give her some tradestuffs, knowing you'll be able to contact her in trance each night to nudge and pull the strings of her waking self. 

And so her Journey begins...
