LETSSSSSS GOOOOO

Mr. Bigweld

Let’s gooooo. you gotta do more krit you should do Krit Wuz Here next it’s what put him on the map and it’s incredible too

Mr. Bigweld

Also make sure when you do “Krit Wuz Here” you do the original mixtape because the one on streaming has songs removed and changed because of samples. He also added some new songs to the one on streaming that are great too though.

Please do "Krit wuz Here" (original version). I swear I played that album a million times lol. I love this album as well though. Krit from Mississippi so that song was basically her singing from the perspective of his hometown to him about leaving for fame

Now I just need Deltron 3030 and life will be complete

Bob!! I’m so happy you loved this one! First, I’ll say the IV in “Subenstein IV” means there are THREE other sub-related songs in KRIT’s earlier records/mixtapes. All WELL worth listening to (especially the one in Return of 4Eva). Second, I’ll say it’s really worth noting how great of a singer AND producer KRIT is. He had basically produced all of the mixtapes that got him national attention until he got a major label record deal, and I feel like he really melds well the Atlanta sound (OutKast, T.I.) with Texas (UGK) and Tennessee (8Ball & MJG). Third, Mass Appeal (an independent NY record label - they released Danny Brown’s XXX) did a video series on YouTube called “Rhythm Roulette,” where hip hop producers would blindfoldedly pull three records in a record store and make a beat from them. El-P did an episode, Mac Miller did one, and so did Big KRIT, and KRIT’s was the best by far. I’d say reacting to all those videos would make for a great Patreon exclusive. :) They’re super entertaining. Lastly, I’ll say that you should really react to both Young Jeezy and T.I. Neither are as heady as KRIT, but both are southern legends from the early 2000’s and made really great records, man. For Jeezy, it would be amazing if you reacted to The Recession (2008), and for T.I., King (2006). And lastly lastly, PLEASE REACT TO RUN THE JEWELS 4. Regards, a fellow Navy veteran.

First, I can’t tell you how much joy it brings me that you enjoyed this album as much as I thought you might. Funny that you compared it to TPAB because those are my two favorite albums ever. You were so close to nailing the first track. It’s just the other way around (Justin Scott talking to Big KRIT, and then the beat drops and it’s KRIT for the rest of the first disc). “Indeed, there’s a finish line for me, but for you, there’s no end” Death comes for everyone, but their art lives forever.

I've been a fan of Big KRIT for a long time. The first album I heard from him was Return of 4Eva in 2011. In 2012 I went to see him in Toronto as part of the Live for the Underground tour. Slim Thug opened as well which was nice. The energy was high. Two 300 lbs white guys were at the front jumping up and down saying all the lyrics. At the end of the show he signed our tickets including mine. KRIT seemed to be very humbled to have the experience. You could sense the pride in him that he had made it and was putting his all into his performance.

Hmm idk

Boob, you have to listen to Armand Hammer - HARAM! You will love it🙏

As much as I didn’t want to wait this long, it was worth the wait. I knew Bob would appreciate this album. The south got more to say! Don’t stop here, Bob

Hey Bob - a few more thoughts. First thought - I really appreciated how you generally let each song play through in full before stopping and giving your comments. To me, a really important part of reacts is being able to revisit an album you love with another person (in this case you), and so unnecessary pauses really ruin the flow of a song and the overall experience. Please keep that up! Second, I know you’ve reacted to Ridin’ Dirty by UGK, and I know you love the southern shit, so I highly recommend you react to UGK (Underground Kingz), their 2006 album and the final album before Pimp C passed. To me it’s their magnum opus, and the perfect album to drive around slowly to with the windows rolled down. Cheers mate!
