You should read the previous post that this continues on from otherwise it will make zero sense, you can find that here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/cosmological-118302220?

again, let me know down in the comments if there any specific aspects of the Humanity Lost universe that you’d like to see explored more, I’m taking suggestions.

As always, thank you so much for your support, especially over Christmas, it means a lot! 🙏🏻

Ok question I don’t know if this is canon or not, bout what does the sophonts of the galaxy think of universes in the sense of alternate timeline with different histories? Due they think they exist or not?

Erika Spooner

Would it be possible to have a few pages dedicated to new, unusual or unidentified weapons the All-Mother has created in recent years? What if one of these weapons that the Conglomerate doesn't understand appeared above a world and then left? The Conglomerate would then panic thinking they were attacked by some sort of weapon and quarantined the world and destroyed any ship trying to leave. And that to this day they don't know whether the All-Mother tricked them into throwing away a world or many worlds or that they were genuinely attacked by some weapon they don't understand because it was designed by a superintelligent AI. Also is the Conglomerate currently losing the war because they're enemy is so much smarter than them?

I like how you wrote it the way we would explore, probes with photos. Reminds me of the Soviet probes to Venus that were destroyed after a few photos. Is it based on advanced physics knowledge the Conglomerate species know about these universes?

CallumStephenDiggle

Some intelligent species probably do believe it’s possible that alternate timelines exist and have theoretical models on them, but there existence is not canon in Humanity Lost.

CallumStephenDiggle

That would definitely be an interesting thing to cover, thanks for the suggestion Erika! The Conglomerate and the wider military alliance of which they are a part, the Galactic union, are losing against the Imperium because like you said, the All-mother is a master strategist and has advanced predictive powers because of the fact she is a super intelligent artificial intelligence. They are also losing because the entire Imperiums existence is geared around war. The Imperium doesn't have their attention divided by other sectors of civilisation like agriculture, manufacturing, entertainment, healthcare, so on… it basically just has to consume and convert biomass, grow, repeat. This gives the Imperium a major edge and allows it to outcompete much larger factions, it’s a question of efficiency.

If you could include an extra about how tandrax tech works would be awesome

Holy shit, the amount of arse these two posts are kicking is vast

One thing im curious about: you talk about the universes existing on different frequencies, but frequencies of what exactly? the only thing that would make sense to me from a physics pov would be if each universe had a different Planck's constant, which wouldnt account for all of the physical law differences but would be wild nontheless.

I have a question kind of unrelated to this post but will there be any new species of aliens shown In the future?

CallumStephenDiggle

There is one species that I showed a little while back called the Nullent, I don’t know if you’ve seen those yet but they’re on my Patreon and on my various social media pages. They’re a species of hive like vacuumorphs. They will be entering the stage in the story in the future. Other than that it’ll just be alien animals, no new intelligent aliens though.

CallumStephenDiggle

I’d agree with you on the matter of Planck’s constant; that would be one of many different factors to consider, many of which we would not even think or know to account for, with our limited contemporary understanding of the true shape of reality and all. Much of the current models involve a lot of educated guesswork, and that is an education in guessing; theories based on theories that in turn generate hypotheticals, all of which may have inaccuracies at base. What I’m doing here is swimming in that soup of what-ifs and creating a radically out-there cosmological model, and because of this, I’m keeping the matter of what the “frequency” is purposefully vague.
