What’s in a name? (Patreon)

I have had a lot of names as a creator. A lot of them ended up being burned because they became associated with the floods of negativity and I would delete them in a kneejerk reaction. Which is something I regret because I had some absolutely banging usernames.

Then we had the honey train of names where my name changed as my content started to become the scattershot roulette that it is now. Then we have Sweetheart Audio, which I have to admit is not my favourite of all the names that I have had. When I chose it I consciously or subconsciously geared my selection towards something honeyish, so I was still a little boxed in.

Consider this a freshish start. 

Enough waffle....Orchid Audio. It is a nice  neutral name which suits the varying nature of my content and it is short so visually it will look more balanced.

I think that my changing names kept me in the game. If I had not I would have stopped recording a long time ago.

I was and I still think the break from the Honey channel was the best thing I could have done, it was the year that has gone past that has tarnished it somewhat. Perception is always coloured with emotion and because I had hoped for things to work out better I am being harsher than I maybe should be. I am the type to rue and dwell, it is in my nature. But I am also stubborn as hell so perhaps rebranding is part of my urge not to give up.
