Might checkout the original Planet of the Apes franchise from the 60s and 70s. The franchise actually takes place after the four prequel films that you reacted too. There are five films in the original franchise.

Great reaction. This was my first time seeing the film as well so it was great to have you two along. I loved your disappointment over the Raka fakeout. I thought this was a really good continuation of the story. I’m a little disappointed at the prospect that the next film might be more ape vs human shenanigans since we’ve kind of already done that, but I’m going to hold out hope because they really surprised me with how different this one was than the prior trilogy. Honestly, there hasn’t been a film in this reboot that I haven’t enjoyed thoroughly. I love that the relationship between Noa and Mae (they really like vowels) remained complex and kind of uneasy to the end. Far more nuanced than I was expecting.
