Chapter no.196 The Ainsworth Family (Patreon)
Content
Agatha and the twin sisters felt chills run down their spines as they saw the entire sky covered in clouds made out of ghostly energy.
The desolate streets of Lavender Town began filled with aberrations of beings who lived and died in this accursed land.
Agatha gritted her teeth as fury erupted from her heart when seeing Lavender tower.
Oh ! How did she hate that place that took the one person she cared for ?
Agatha and the twin sisters found that Lavender tower was under some kind of barrier.
No, No after all this time I finally got my chance at revenge. How can a mere barrier stop me ?!

[ Lavender Town - Ainsworth Family Mansion ]
A 7 year old Agatha walked down the empty halls of the Ainsworth family mansion alongside her brother, a ghastly.
" William, Father has called upon me. Please don't try to light his hair on fire again."
" Kekeke !"
Ghastly outstretched his neck as he licked Agatha's face before phasing into her shadow.
" Come on, William you won't get me into trouble again."
Agatha sweated a little as she didn't get an answer.
I am doomed.
.....
Ethan Ainsworth could help be sighed in frustration as he had received a letter from the branch family in Sinnoh.
They would take care of his little girl after his death.

" May I come in, Father ?"
" The door is always open for my little girl."
( ~ Creek ~ )
Agatha opened the door as she found herself standing in the middle of her father's desolate room, with nothing more than a single desk, a wooden rocking chair, with four dimly glowing lanterns placed on four corners of the room, emanating soft light.
Unlike the rest of the world that enjoyed the power of electricity since, the ambient otherworldly energy pervading the castle had a negative interference with electricity, and thus, despite the changes in the world outside, the residents of the Ghost Tower—the number now reduced to a dozen, simply lived without it. Then again, with the ghosts saturating the castle, the entire atmosphere gave a slight chill. There was no breeze, just some filtered sunlight through the window panes, and the light chill, whose source could be deduced by any self-respecting trainer.
" Why have you called upon me, father ?"
" Awe, do I have to have a reason to call upon my beautiful daughter ?"
" Father ."
" Now I miss the little girl who used to call me papa."
Agatha blushed in embarrassment as she said ," P..Papa."
" Yes, my little baby." Ethan Ainsworth had a grin on his face as he replied to his daughter.
" Why have you called upon me ?"
Ethan Ainsworth stood up as he outstretched his hand.
From within the shadows a staff emerged with a pokeball as its handle.
Ethan Ainsworth got on one knee as he presented the heirloom of the Ainsworth family to Agatha.
" Is... Isn't this .."
Agatha's hand shivered as she touched the staff.
" My little girl, I am happy to say that now this is yours."
" But am I ready ?"
" I wouldn't have given it to you if I didn't think you were ready."
Agatha hugged the staff that was bigger than her as if her life depended on it.
Agatha touched the staff as she looked at the intricate symbols carved into the staff with wonder.
" Papa, what are these symbols ?"
" ( ~ Chuckle ~ ) You don't have to play the cute card. I was going to tell you anyway."
Ethan Ainsworth pointed at the symbols and said ," This is the mark left behind by all those that wielded the staff in battle."
" Where is your symbol ?"
" Unfortunately I haven't wielded the staff in battle so I don't have a symbol."
" Don't worry papa I'll wield it in battle and I'll carve a symbol into it for you and me."
Rubbing his daughter's hair, Ethan Ainsworth tried to hide the pain he was currently feeling under a smile.
" I am looking forward to it but Agatha I am going to go out so don't misbehave while I am gone and please don't let William burn down the house."
" When will you come back."
" .... "
" Papa ?"
" Sorry but I can't say since the trip is quite long."
" Ok but be safe."
" Haha you know me."
" That's why I said it."
" You're too smart for your own good so don't let William cause any trouble, promise."
Ethan Ainsworth outstretched his pink while Agatha reciprocated the gesture.
" I promise."
" That's my girl."
Ethan Ainsworth hugged his daughter so she couldn't see the tears running down her father's face who knew that he was marching forward towards his death just all the previous family heads.
' I am sorry, Agatha for leaving you alone but I need to reseal that thing before it gets out. I am sorry I wasn't able to see you grow up, find love and walk you down the aisle. '
.....
A flash of light covered the sky that had enveloped Lavender Town in a blanket of black clouds.

As if the Gods were bellowing out in anger, the thunderclap could be heard from miles away.
( ~ 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝗵 ~ )
The winds were strong enough to cause at least light damage to trees as the flora of the land danced to the tunes of the wind.
( ~ 𝙋𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 ~ )
The storms took the very land of the mountains into an onward night, regardless of neither time nor sun, yet came the booming exclamations of heaven and lightning to restart the heart.
Inside the Ainsworth family mansion, the sobbing of a little girl who got the news about her death was drowned out by the reverberating thunder.
( ~ Sobs ~ )
" Why ?"
" Why ?"
" Why ?"
William stared in sadness at her sisters condition.
She had stopped eating ever since that horrible news came and he was getting more and more worried.
Ethan Ainsworth, the 31rst head of Ainsworth family had died to reseal the great evil that has pladgued the Ainsworth family for generations.

Agatha's fury couldn't be described in words as she opened the PokeBall on her staff revealing a beautiful gem stone.
" William, mega evolve!" Agatha shouted, raising her staff and crashing it into the ground. The gem stone immediately burst into orange light at the same time as the Gengarite burst into a light blue light, considerably brightening the dark misty terrain. Both stones launched bolts of colorful energies towards one another, which connected and changed into a dark purple energy that recoiled into Gengar and engulfed him.
William started changing shape right before his trainer's eyes, his back spikes growing far larger and sharper and showing up around his arms and legs, which also grew. Gengar wailed out in agony from the overflow of energy surging through his body.
The dark energy exploded after about a minute, fully revealing Gengar's new form. Aside from the new, enlarged spikes, his face had changed into a darker shade of purple, which gradually changed into a red hue as it went down the ghost's body. His legs were still stubby, but his arms had grown considerably, in an almost comical way. As soon as the trainer observed that, however, Gengar's limbs sunk into the ground, leaving the body halfway visible.
" Shadow Ball !"
William raised his hand into the air as the surrounding ghostly energy swirled into thousands of shadow balls all attacking the barrier surrounding Lavender Tower.
