2022-12-31 02:16:15 I feel the same: very conflicted by the differences in tone! Like the dance is so playful and the members look like they're genuinely singing about something fun/sweet, but the lyrics are WAY too much. even listening to the korean (of which my knowledge is obv limited), some of the translations are definitely right (like the chorus)...but what i'm missing is what you said, that apparently korean doesn't have that food->innuendos clarity that english does, so .... who knows? it's definitely on the company for either a) translating it so roughly or worse, b) actually giving these kids a song that means what this means. thank you for giving us this cut reaction -- i was worried you were going to gloss over the potential serious problems here but it totally makes sense that you didn't want to feel like you were reading too much into it w/o knowing for sure. πŸ’™ more than anything, i hope these kids are safe and will be given songs w/ lyrics for their age in the future....
