Good morning, my beautiful Patrons.

I don't often draw "real people". I don't draw portraits of real people. It's become a personal rule, especially for commissions, and I won't make exceptions for personal portraits or pop culture icons anymore. However, sometimes I find myself personally captivated by certain characters from Pop Culture that I find really sexy and endearing. Watching them on screen helps me understand their essence, and drawing them is my way of showing appreciation and admiration. I don't do this often, and when I do it, I certainly don't do it lightly.

My husband and I are huge fans of STRANGER THINGS, and I'll admit, I was not a STEVE HARRINGTON fan at the beginning. But in the second, he really began to grow on me, and now, he's become my favorite character on the show. It really helps that actor JOE KEERY is an absolute cutie-pie, and plays STEVE with so much heart and swagger, sweetness and humility... I couldn't resist expressing my fandom by drawing him.

The scene in which he strips down and swims through "watergate" in season four was pretty impactful to me. After watching it, I envisioned this illustration of him, paddle in hand, preparing to fight for his life in the Upside Down as the demonbats approach.

Anyhow, that has led us to this illustration of STEVE HARRINGTON, about to fight for his life, looking sexy as Hell, soaked and scared, but braving his fears. Thare are several variants in this set, (with version 03 being exclusive to this month's PORTFOLIO) all of which I tried to keep as sexy but respectful as possible. In any case, whether you're a STRANGER THINGS fan or not, I think you'll agree that this set makes an appropriate addition to this year's Halloween art. I really hope you enjoy my take on this hunky twunk.

STEVE in some "Scoops" gear is up next.

I think that's a wonderful illustration... And of course it has the Fillion touch of an impressive endowment. 😈😈😈😈

Thanks so much, Jocko! I'm glad you liked it. I mean, I HAVE to stay true to my style! That in part, is why I don't often draw real people or actors, because if I do draw them, you KNOW they're gonna be HUNG! LOL! 😆😆😅😅 I always feel a little... well, dirty doing it. LOL! But sometimes you just gotta express your appreciation in the best way you know how!
