Good morning, my Beautiful Patrons!
Prepare for a blast from the past, with a decidedly cheeky twist! Today, we're diving back into my BUG of the MICRONAUTS fan art, and things are about to get… interesting.
Remember yesterday's little chat about Bug's unfortunate detour into Baron Karza's Pleasure Pits? Yeah, that one. Well, I've decided to, shall we say, elaborate on that particular plot point. I've recreated a certain… memorable panel from MICRONAUTS #14 in my own style, with a little extra emphasis on the, ahem, scenic aspects of Bug's misadventures. And to sweeten the deal, I've penned a little short story to accompany it.
Don't worry if you're not a Micronauts aficionado! This tale stands on its own, and I'm confident its… unique merits will capture your attention. 😉
First, let's feast our eyes on my reimagining of that infamous, strategically censored panel from the late '70s. Seriously, that narrative box placement? Iconic! My version is UNCENSORED, of course! LOL! As a young, queer me, stumbling upon this panel in the '80s was a revelation. It was like a cosmic, sparkly "hello" to my own burgeoning… interests. And here we are, decades later, and I'm still obsessed enough to draw my own tribute.
The original masterpiece was brought to you by the legendary Howard Chaykin. I hope my homage does it… justice.
Enjoy, my lovelies! And try not to blush too much. The colors are up next! STICK AROUND!
