Thank you for reminding me that this arc was at least very funny ❤️ i love all the straw hats in it and some Robin/Chopper moments. Its easy to forget that it wasnt that bad as ppl tend to make it. It just seems streched bc only half of the games they play are canon.

In retrospect after 1100 episodes the arc is hard to rewatch, it is not that bad, but water seven/enies lobbie is this one great saga that will kill you for so many reasons, there is no one out there not considering it top 3 if not even number 1, and we are so close to it now, it takes a lot of patience to endure this weaker little arc right bevor the rollercoaster that is water seven.

I actually find it nice myself, we don't get the light hearted stuff as much any more. they'll reach the anticipated content soon enough, no rush

You are right, every thing is actually anime canon, since it is in the anime and I am a filler lover myself. Foxy is just... the worst character to watch for me 🤣

That is a good point. I Love the fillers in one Piece and read a lot of fan fiction about the lighthearted straw hat moments bc there is not enough of it in the show, but from what I observed in the community this seems to be the reason why all ppl talk sh*t about this arc. And I personally dont love foxy, porsche and hamburger 😅

No that is actually a very young take that I dont get at all. Most Anime Veterans dont see it that way. Also only one thing really counts - if you have fun. And one piece filler BTS are hilarious and heartwarming. PTS not so much but we all know why.

I disagree, when I first watched it, I couldn't stand any of it. 13 episodes of mostly annoying stuff and characters doing things that don't impact the story in any way. Watching it for the second time is waaay more fun for me. Yeah, I now know what is to come but I find it much more entertaining, exactly because I know what is to come and I am not eager to find out for the first time what is after this.

The “Angelo do something” killed me! I felt the same the first time. I wanted to get into the screen and take Chopper back. Like a good father, Zoro doesn’t baby Chopper … he is trying to make a man out of him … a slow process, but an important one. I think the main reason why long time One Piece fans dislike this arc a lot is because back in the days it was shown one episode a week. Therefore it took like 3 months to complete it … which is a lot. Plus before that, we had the filler G8, meaning other 2 months passed. After it, there will be other filler episodes, so other 2/3 months. Basically back in the days, we went through at least 8 months of poor content … none of us will ever forget that … leaving a forever bad taste for these episodes. But I have to admit that, after rewatching it now in streaming and multiple eps at time, this arc is not as bad as I remembered it. I am happy you guys are enjoying it … it’s super fun!

I agree with that, this arc isn't my favorite to rewatch either but its not nearly as bad as people make it seem when you can watch at whatever pace you desire. I think this arc has many fun and funny moments worth seeing

100 percent. People like me that grew up watching week to week compare to now theres a big difference. Also now people just want to rush because of the knowledge of future arc and what’s to come. When this was coming out week to week on Saturday nights I also didn’t know what was filler or not.

Nah depends on the country, in germany we got 5 episodes a week, always, one piece cycled a lot every other year, and many countries in europe got the same amount of episodes, so european veterans never had that issue.

Very important for Zoro to remind the audience and Chopper himself that he's not a baby, hes a man and a pirate and this was no time for tears.

@BashaM The way you put it actually makes a lot of sense. The foxy arc is completely fine when you are streaming at your own pace like I did. It's peak OP comedy. I have been "binging" for the last year and a half and only reached around Ep 490. I know C & A will probably cross me soon.
