There is actually a newer, really well done reanimated version of zoro and sanji vs groggy monsters, on youtube. It might be fun to check out once you finish the arc. Although I'm very critical of this arc, this match was in the top 2 moments of the arc.

I think the episodes 213 - 216 are anime fillers which might be the main reason why many don't like. The rest are still worth watching.

As someone who grew up with weekly one piece manga every op animations are just extra gifts for me. But if you got into op much later and have hundreds of episode ahead of you, i understand why someone would think this is waste of time.

I love this episode for the Zoro and Sanji relationship development. You asked why they don't team up more but its kinda because there hasn't been a need to, teamwork, real teamwork, hasn't been a factor till now. Especially between the two strongest under Luffy. I love this because it sets a precedent, forms a foundation for Sanji and Zoro. Now they have an understanding with each other that they didnt before, they might not always seen eye to eye but they both have now agreed to lean on each other for the crews sake when necessary. And they did it in such few words! This is the start of a silent but very much real comradery between two protectors of the crew and it only builds from here! This one moment is seriously my favorite in this arc and why its critical for some of the epic moments you guys are fast approaching! I love hoe even after this long Oda is still putting in work to lay foundations for the characters learning to function as a loyal crew.

How though? "Fording through the ice" is a waste of time for 75% of it. This arc at least moves and delivers on silliness. (Coming from just an anime alone perspective). I thought Water 7 was bad in terms of pacing but then it picked up in the next arc, big time, until because of my own fault, saw the fillers while watching it.

Ange was right—there’s always a reason behind Luffy’s madness. However, not this time. In the manga, Luffy chooses Chopper. This change was simply added as filler in the anime.

I started when there were around 700 episodes. But I loved the foxy arc from the jump just because I'm a fan One Piece's comedy and I just love it how we can see more funny interactions between the strawhats in this arc

Its weird I have no problems with this arc but I have something to say about every other arc that follows..especially the placement of a crucial backstory. C & A, lower your expectations. It has its highs and lows.

I just thought Luffy had so much faith in his crew to get Chopper back anyway at the end of the game. Edit: Ange nailed it during the episode discussion too.

i think the reason for alot of pp wating to skip the davy back fight is because that whole premis of this arc doesnt rly fit in the one piece world so far, but the g8 arc fits almost perfectly in the world, also and this might be the biggest reason, because the next arc is an extremly good arc and this is where the magic of the show really begins to do its thing
