Musicians react & review ♡ AESPA - Hot Mess (MV)

WE'RE A HOT MESS RIGHT AFTER THIS. Are they seriously dropping another album just a month after Supernova and Armaggedon? Seriously? Are they living in a different timezone or something? And this is their Japan DEBUT!? What!? Either way, a very fun MV with overt references to Japanese elements like the anime avatars and the play on the Kaiju genre. You rarely see this kind of energy from a K-pop group debuting in Japan. Excited to see what Aespa comes out with next! :D If you wish to see more contents, get early access, and get access to exclusive livestreams, consider supporting us over at our patreon page at http://patreon.com/handsomesausages !! :D Kpop producers and singer-songwriters react to AESPA'S HOT MESS (MV)! Ooooo, i liked this one. Can't wait to watch your reaction ehen i get home. So I didn't realize it was a Japanese single. I like it a lot. There Is a bit in the chorus that reminds me of the song Born to be by itzy. And that's not necessarily a bad thing. But that was the first thing I thought of when I heard the beep. I'm still kind of seeing the themes of supernova where the one girl is like in control of fire. They're little animated characters in the video to cute. I was very much waiting for the bridge to see if there were going to be any hip hop themes like it has been in the last couple of songs. And I love it so much. It's so good. The video is so bright and colorful and cute and quirky and I love that so much. Oh yeah, no it's not as strong as Armageddon and supernova but it's pretty good.

I think I'll need a few more listens for this song to grow on me, but when it comes to the MV, the anime it specifically reminded me of was Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, for the combination of mech-suits with magical girl transformation sequence aesthetics!
