Musicians react & review ♡ SKZ Talker Go! Season 5 Ep.02

This one was moving :') We love you SKZ! This new season of SKZ Talker Go was one of the most mentioned new series over at our Patreon page, and so last time, we checked out the first episode of Season 5, which we loved! :D This one was a continuation of the 'Seoul' episode, where they delve deeper into the actual concert scenes, focusing less on the practice and more on the overall picture. This not only brought us back to the time we reacted to the dominATE concert, but also gave us new perspective about just HOW MUCH SKZ works on a daily basis to deliver the best performance possible for us STAYs. So what else can we say? We love you SKZ! If you like what you see and wish to see more SKZ related contents like SKZ Code, Two Kids Room, Howl in Harmony, as well as our reaction to all SKZ music in order, including full concert reactions, visit our patreon page at http://patreon.com/handsomesausages !! :D Kpop producer and singer-songwriter react to SKZ Talker Go! I always love these bts videos. I think it's really cool how they let us see behind the curtain, so we can understand just how much work and effort goes into things.

Hazel

The fact that Han still struggles with the Mountains choreo makes me cackle XD

Kwestleo

Yeesss. My sweet baby Han is just so bad when it comes to remembering things. And it's funny that they drop this video when they did because in the concert that was right before this dropped he messed up the choreo to mountains. So it's like we get to see what happens. Okay I'm glad it's not just me cuz I thought my YouTube was being weird so the dude practiced the song slowed down at some point. Honestly I already missed the long blonde hair from feelings. Like don't get me wrong. He looks great with the black hair but I am missing blonde so much. Of course that's Han singing in the background. When isn't it on. Actually it's not Han when it's changbin. I love how surprised han-c got when he said 40. Because I was thinking he was talking about 40 out of 100 and I was about to be mad. But if it's 40 out of 10 then hell yeah. I absolutely love that! They showed where they messed up both times in this concert. It's hilarious. Leave it to 2min to clown each other. I also want to be those fans Han-C. He really does look like security right there. Oh is it supposed to look like a grenade? I both love and hate when they cry. I love it because they're showing their emotions. They're not keeping it bottled up and I hate it because when they cry I cry. And I never want them to be hurt or sad even though I know that's unlikely. I love that. Felix says that he has to scream. And that's why he drinks the honey water. I'm like no you don't have to scream babe. You just want to. I love that Changbin had a really sweet sentimental moment and then he ran off like a goofball looking absolutely adorable. I think the most that they do is 3 days in a row. And it'll be Friday, Saturday, Sunday. But most of the time it's like Saturday, Sunday and then negative week and then Saturday Sunday and then I get a week and so on it and so forth. Now it is going to change when I get to America. Actually speaking of, The tickets for their fan meeting is on sale. On beyond live. So it's going to be streaming on February 16th which is when they're going to have it. And then restreaming in March. So they're going to have a 3-day fan meeting. It's going to be Friday February 14th, Saturday, February 15th, and Sunday, February 16th. Are going to be recording it live and we're going to watch it on beyond live. If you guys want to watch it when they do release it, I would suggest you buying tickets. Or if you want to wait until somebody records it and then gives it to you, which I'm sure will eventually happen. Just so you know that that's that. But I'm always excited for the fan meetings. They're normally like 4 hours long.

Honestly i really hope that felix starts working with a singing coach that knows more about screaming so he can scream during concerts without hurting his throat so much. He's so much more at risk of vocal chord issues if he's putting strain on it so often.

I love these bts videos, and I love that they show us their mistakes. Some performers are very much against showing anything less than perfection. In contrast, I think SKZ have shown very clearly that they make mistakes sometimes, but they get over it and move on as true professionals. But they're ALSO not afraid to lovingly and hilariously tease each other about it, too - often sharing all of that with STAY. I think that's one of many reasons why they are so loved by their fanbase. --------------------------------------- On a separate note........ We all know SKZ love to give spoilers, many of which are not actually caught right away by STAY. Only later do we realize....."Oh!! MONTHS ago, they were spoiling the choreo or some lyrics from this or that song. I just now realized!!" So bearing that in mind......have any of you noticed how a few of the members have randomly been giving military salutes in their concerts lately? I've seen that happen a few times in the fan videos that are being posted on YT and other platforms. A few ppl have mentioned it here and there. Just wondered if anyone else feels like it's a spoiler, of sorts. Meaning, perhaps they're kinda-sorta preparing us for an announcement about military service?

J.A. Moore

I have always wondered how singers (from rock bands, especially) can scream like that, then sing, and not lose their voices. The lead singer from the Japanese band, ONE OK ROCK, has done that in a few of their songs. Taka does DEATH METAL-level screaming, and then he just sings like it's nothing. And he doesn't seem to lose his voice afterward, either. Boggles my brain.

Hypatia

It's all vocal technique! There's ways to produce the sounds while keeping your throat healthy and while some people just learn as they go there's vocal coaches who specialize in helping people learn metal techniques in safe ways. There's some really interesting information online about metal vocals. Last year i could have nerded out big time and gone into so much detail but right now kpop is the only thing in my brain lol. Metal is taking a backseat atm.

we know how good they are at what they do, so the tiny mess up only make them human and it's fun to laugh about it together xD noticing these little moments where the members also just crack up are also some of the best concert clips, it shows how much fun and chemistry they have too with the tours, they improve SOO much during those! as you said they just get better with every concert because you're forced to go beyond your limits. your throat is sore? well shit you have a concert tmr, so you just make it work somehow and they just keep going. tours are definitly super tiring and taxing but i think if you've never been on such a big stage in front of so many fans you can't even begin to imagine how much energy and love you receive from the crowd and the feeling that that brings! also i feel like ever since 2024 or ate era the kids are very very strong about enjoying everything they do to the max. also you'll notice some of skz waiting room habits after some time but for now: if there's someone singing in the background of skz talker- 99% chance that is han. that man does not stop singing ever. skz talker go will go on and cover most of the cities they were in prob, so we'll have it for some more weeks for sure!

_nora_

i don't think it's a spoiler, i mean i don't think it's something you can spoil anyway, since we all know that most of them have to go anyway xD it's just a question of when tbh i think it's just that they know that the military time is coming soon (i personally am speculating next year after their 8th anniversary/stay birthday), that's why they're so keen on enjoying everything they do as much as possible and do as much as they can while they're still all together. i think it's just because they're starting to prepare and they probably talk about it a lot- whether with friends, within skz or the company. so jokes about it just naturally come out, because it's a topic on your mind. i could be very wrong but as i said, i'm speculating that they'll only start enlisting 2026

J.A. Moore

In my ideal SKZ world, I actually wish they would all go at once. Bang Chan and Felix would stay behind, since they are Australian citizens. Felix would have all that time to get physio for his back, write songs, and work on / release individual projects / collabs..... Bang Chan would do individual projects and collabs as well, but he would also be doing timed releases of music and other stuff the members would prepare before they enlist. That way there would be a continuous flow of SKZ material the whole time the other members were gone. Then.......they would all come back at once and be SKZ, once again. And I would love to see lots of wholesome chaos when they do!

Ixaala

I'm pretty sure he mentioned recently he's working with a voice teacher lately.

STAY

hey guys, I suggest you two to watch their "안될과학 Unrealscience" youtube content it has Han,Chan, and Hyunjin as their guests! the views of that content is not as much as skz other content but it's sooo fun and I'm as a person who can understand like 90% of korean so I've watched it before it has subs but now that I checked again it finally has eng subs! and I want other STAYs to kind of understand it too if they watch it with you guys and I think you two are going to love it (hope so! hihi) but no pressure^^

Rina

First of all; is it really SKZ if they're not in a puppy pile at least once? I am continually in awe of how hard they work (all idols, really), and then they're still so hard on themselves after. And I love how they're not making a big deal out of mistakes. They just relax and have fun and laugh it off. It's all very human and I think the industry needs more of that. The beyond live one, that you reacted to, was the 4th day and the mistakes shown was on days 2 and 3. Han has missed the run back several times, but I don't know if he did it in any that you've reacted to. He did forget to run back for their last chorus of La4 at Hyde Park The Seoul concerts were two weekends after each other, so they did 2 and 2. It's still insane! Their voices are so wrecked after. Changbin at the end has nothing left. That has always been something that has amazed me. I remember watching bts from FTIsland's concerts and Hongki barely being able to get a sound out when arriving for day two, only to go on stage and kill it again, a few hours later. I remember that day's Social Path. He went back stage a bit after, off with the mic and everything. Chan's ending ments routinely will take your heart out. Many of their talks gets emotional, especially at the Seoul concerts. I appreciate that they seem so open and genuine, but I still want to jump through the screen and turn off the cameras sometimes, because it gets so raw, it feels almost intrusive to watch. Some are near impossible, like a couple of Chan's. I need to scroll past that Hyunjin one (you know the one) every time it shows up. Also, Chan seems to have been very retrospective for the last year or so. Tbh, he reminds me of an empty nester. Like, his identity has been tied to being leader for so long, but the members are all grown and very capable atp, so he sort of needs to re-invent what that role looks like and he's been spinning a bit because of it. He seems to have figured out how to balance it a little better now, tho.

Rina

They most certainly have a plan, probably have had it for years atp, so I don't know if I'd call it a spoiler, but they're probably starting to prepare Stay already. We all know it's coming, but probably not until the end of next year at the earliest. LeeKnow won't be 28 until october next year. That's almost two years from now. He might still be able to apply for another deferral, or he's recently sent one in. And they could still get the order of cultural merit and then postpone it again. The only guess I think is safe to make, is that nothing will happen until he has to go. In todays climate in the industry, though, I don't think they'll take the chance on going all at the same time. That's a long time for ChanLix to keep them afloat alone. The rookie groups are better than ever and the industry is getting even more competitive. It's also not going to be as natural for all members to have full solo releases, and with the skz-records, -players, song by and all other things, the need for it won't be as alluring as it is for other idols in other groups. SKZ is already giving solo-opportunities to those who want them. As Chan and Felix won't be going, I have my two cents on two groups of three, starting when LeeKnow can't put it off any longer, and with some overlap if possible to minimize the total time without all members. They'll be able keep it going in some way with 5, even if they have to slow it down a little. There's also work-arounds with pre-made recordings and such, that they would be able to have ot8-releases but have it promoted by five. There's a lot of possibilities, really. If they choose to go by two groups of three, I also don't think they'll go by age for anyone other than LeeKnow. I see them rather go by who'll be able to cover for eachother, so as to make sure that there's many enough to divide parts without members burning out because of it. The only thing that is a bit unclear for me is if they, once they've postponed it, have to then wait for their next conscription letter. Like, here, there's new recruits every 3 months, I don't know if that's the same in SK. Could they choose to enlist for any cycle in between? If not, I guess they'll have to strategically not postpone the one that suits their plan the best. Aaaand they would still have to account for paper work in military administration. I'm also sure the dates vary, depending on what branch they'll be in. I know Hyunjin and I.N sort of teased, but also skirted around it in their sopa-live this week, saying they'll do another sopa-live "when they return in 5 years", alluding to them being back by then. That would have I.N back before he strictly speaking would even have to go, but LeeKnow couldn't possibly wait that long. Ooooor they could just be getting a kick out of seeing Stay's lose it over this, without there actually being any real meaning behind it. I guess we'll find out sooner or later. Felix's injury won't really change from getting physio, it's permanent to a certain extent so he'll always be vulnerable to strain. Any treatment for him is about maintenance and damage control. On the contrary, it'll be harder for him to come back to dancing like he does if he's away for too long, because he's maintaning a level of mobility now, working within his limits and getting treatment when he can, that will deteriorate the moment that he stops.

Rina

Whatever they go for in the end, I'm pretty sure Chan has something on that laptop of his to get them through it, as you mentioned. It's not going to be radio silence, that's for sure xD

romimood

They’re probably going to have their 10th anniversary before anyone is enlisted so I wouldn’t read too much into it

sysrae

The funniest bit about Seungmin getting the timing wrong is that, just before they started touring, Changbin made the exact same goof during (IIRC) a music show performance, which Seungmin then razzed him about in front of the audience, saying "Seo Changbin pabo!" and imitating his aborted dance movement. So the fact that Seungmin then did the exact same thing himself has them (and us) cackling XD

Zesti

While the behind video makes it seem like they did 4 concerts back to back to back to back, that's not actually the case. They did 2 concerts each over 2 weekends (Sat Aug 24 & Sun Aug 25 AND Sat Aug 31 & Sun Sep 1) and it was the last one on Sep 1 that was Live Streamed at BeyondLive.com. That's not to say they haven't done more concerts in a row before. For Maniac Tour, they did 3 concerts in a row over 1 weekend (Fri Apr 29, Sat Apr 30 & Sun May 1), with the Sunday concert being Live Streamed. FYI for anyone who is interested, their upcoming Stray Kids 5TH FANMEETING 'SKZ 5'CLOCK' will be on BeyondLive.com on Feb 16, 2025 17:00 (KST), tickets are on sale now! For those EST like me, that's 3AM!!
