Good morning, everyone! I have an interesting little tidbit to share with you all today.

I've recently been dabbling off and on with Ren'Py as I've had a desire to play around with trying to create a Visual Novel for a while now and wanted to see if I could actually make the thing work with my limited skills. I actually made a sort of crude prototype based on the CPA characters a while back that was extremely basic and mostly just me figuring out the bare bones of how to actually even run Ren'Py, lol. I might release that at some point just as kind of a fun little "here's where I started" Sort of thing but it is absurdly basic. Though it did make me realize something I hadn't really considered before. The CPA cast actually would work almost PERFECTLY as the cast for a Visual Novel. Which has given me ideas...

BUT ANYWAY.

Here is a project that i created entirely out of an uncontrolled hyperfocus mood where I sat down at my computer a few nites ago and just kind of rode the dopamine wave as my ADHD took hold. So what you're seeing here is the culmination of maybe 6 combined hours of work, at least 1/3 of which was mostly just editing images to make them work properly for what I was trying to get them to do in Ren'Py itself. All in all, considering this is the first real project I actually worked on that wasn't me mostly just figuring out basic commands I actually kind of like how it came out. So I figured I'd throw it up for you all to enjoy in it's current form. I'm gonna make it an exclusive for you all for a month then release it publicly next month. Think of it as a sort of compensation prize for there not being a CPA update next month.

It's very short, you'll probably blow through it in 10-15 minutes at most and there's little actual story. Honestly the majority of the story is basically a parody of something that should be fairly obvious if the name doesn't already make it so. But I'm particularly proud of the sprite manipulate I was able to manage, particularly in the second half of the novel which is where I'm sure most of you will focus most of your attention on. Considering I had almost no idea what I was doing and was working with assets I cobbled together mostly myself in photoshop out of existing images not originally drawn for something like this I think it turned out pretty dang good for a first try. At some point I may come back to this to try to make more of it, if only for more practice. Or I might actually try to make it a larger real project in the future. Either way this has been a big step forward for me learning Ren'Py and has opened up a lot of new options and avenues of creation for me to consider. I hope you all like it! Even if i was mostly a passenger in my own body when it was being made I still kind of had fun making it. <3

The content within is intended for mature audiences and mentions sexual themes but is not inherently pornographic. The story, what there is of it, centers around a couple of my own characters and Tyr, a really good friend of mine who's probably my second or third oldest friend in the furry community. They are an excellent artist who I highly recommend you check out, a great guy in general, and were a really good sport about being the random target of my hyperfocus. I had a few people test the PC version and it seemed to work fine but I only had one person to try the Mac version and couldn't test it myself so I have no experience compiling these for Mac
