My suggestion would be "In This Corner of the World" a movie that takes place in Japan during WW2 (1945) as we see how the war affected the Japanese people with a beautiful design.

my movie suggestion is KITE! The movie that inspired Kill Bill, its so kickass. unfortunately, i cant recommend movies like Paprika (inspired Inception) and especially Perfect Blue because of the scene or two of nudity, unless you make em patreon exclusive. otherwise would highly recommend. -

Personally I thinks it was way better than Your Name. More complex plot and characters and themes. Suzume struggles with its characters and plot tbh but it was still a good movie

me personally, i think that this movie and your name are on par, and suzume (while it had it's shortcomings) was one of his most unique movies, and one of his most heartfelt ones. you could tell that this is what he wanted to write about with the other movies post 2011 earthquake. I also think suzume is by far his most stunning, production wise. His backgrounds in these movies are amazing, but suzume goes beyond, i wouldn't be surprised if some of them are even edited photographs.
