Snowball fight (Patreon)

Another of the drawings I started during my final Picarto stream of 2018. I did this piece to help raise money for Second Harvest Foodbank. Congratulations to RebelSqurl who donated to Second Harvest Foodbank that evening and won this piece.

     It doesn't snow often in the Sahara, and the snow quickly vanishes,  but it happens. The main figure is a character I haven't drawn in  while.  I need to address that. I call the female fennec Little Rommel  because she's never told me what her real name is, and other fennecs  refer to her by her nickname. She's the leader of a band insurgents who  are defending their homes and livelihood from arms and drug smugglers  who are bribing the government to repress them. She's a character who's  been brutalized but that experience hasn't left her devoid of compassion  or hope for the future.

    All of the finished pieces I have done up to this point have been rather grim in nature. Ambush Leader, Right now, nothing has to die. But she still looks to the future and sees hope in those who will  follow her. So on this cold winter morning she takes time for a rare  desert snowball fight.
