One of the things I'm finding digital color very handy is for the  creation of color thumbnails for clients to review before I start on a  final finished traditional media piece. I also find them handy because  they are letting me improve my digital skills in increments.

This is color study for an upcoming piece for Marshall. Both myself and the client thought giving the piece a rather Maxfield Parrish  feel to the color palette. Also we both wanted a certain grandeur to  the piece. Yes it is a rather candid family image, but one thing from my  Equestria dreamscape that still catches my breath is when I am flying  at either sunrise or sunset. The sky can be stunning.
